Christi's Creative Crew: CRASH!

Saturday night Dale and I were involved in a car accident. Our Granddaughter, Lily, almost 5 years old, was in the car with us but she was strapped tightly into her car seat and she is totally fine. Dale, also, is totally fine. We are praising God for this. I was sitting in the backseat with Lily, and normally when I am in the backseat I do not wear my seatbelt, but Lily was confused as to why I did not have mine on so I believe Lily saved my life by telling me to put my seatbelt on. The way we bounced, I for sure would've hit my head on the top of the van and snapped my neck...so again I am very thankful!

The accident was just us (one car), as Dale fell asleep at the wheel and we went into the Meridian. When he hit the turn-around we went airborne about 20 feet. We believe it most likely was the result of his new restless leg medication.

I was taken by ambulance to Butterworth Hospital and it was determined that I have a compression fracture in my spine (T12 for you medically minded). I can hardly explain how much pain that is. They sent me home with pain meds and I will follow up with my back doctor. Most likely I will need to have a lot of therapy.
