Prized Peony for Thank You & Sympathy

One week ago Dale & I celebrated our 44th wedding anniversary!

This year it include dinner out one night early,  a graduation open house on our actual anniversary date, and then the next day Dale went fishing for the weekend. No big deal - I LOVE being home, I love my alone time and the freedom to go and do whatever I want, whenever I want, but...NEXT YEAR for our 45th anniversary we are taking a one week (at least) vacation!

Our son Jeff and daughter-in-law, Jessica gave us this beautiful bouquet of peonies from their flower garden.

They smell as good as they look!! And peonies last a LOT longer than the lilacs they brought over earlier.

I wanted to make a beautiful peony card as a thank you so I made this one inspired by Jackie Bultje

What I changed up: I believe Jackie used the SQUARE LATTICE DOILY as a stencil, but I just added the doily itself. 

I changed up the sentiment and the color of the flower, but this is a pretty clean and simple layout.

Since I had the PRIZED PEONY Stamp Set out, I thought I would prep one for an upcoming Tuesday class. This one was inspired by Ann Schach.
