Today my daddy turns 96 years young
We definitely see him slowing down, but he is still doing good, living on his own, making his own meals and caring for himself. We are extremely grateful!!
His favorite restaurant is called CRAZY HORSE and he loves their ribs. He also loves the discount he gets on his birthday! Tomorrow he will get 96% off his bill!! How cool is that!!
Two of my sisters still live close by so we will be taking him out for his birthday dinner and it is always so nice to spend the day as sisters with our dad.
Dad was an avid hunter and fisherman. Super handy around the house and wood worker. So this is the card that I chose for him this year. It is a bay window card technique. I know that I shared this card before when we made it for a class but I wanted to honor dad's day by featuring it again.Recently Dad had his memoirs of being in WW11 "published" and it is so good for him to share after all these years of being silent of what happened during the warHis is very proud of the American flag that hangs in front of his condo. He was also gifted an American flag that had flown over the states capital.
He really doesn't look his 96 years. This photo was taken about 9 months ago so it really is still how well he looks. We are thankful to still have him. Please follow the links below to shop with me online
