Christi's Creative Crew: Racing By

Our featured card for today is from the stamp set RACING BY!

You probably have seen this card on my blog post before because my friend Janell made one of these to share with our team a couple months ago. It was inspired by Erica Cerwin
What I changed up: Erica and Janell both weaved black card stock and white card stock to create the checkered look, but I cheated and found some black & white check patterned paper in my scrapbooking stash so I used that to make it easier.
I also used some retired card stock called Brushed Silver. It was a favorite way back when - but I stocked up when it retired and I am always thankful when I get the chance to use it.
What a fun card for kids, but I'm thinking it might be good for my neighbor who entered the race at our local fair this summer.
