Those Darling Donkeys are perfect for kicking out the old year and bringing in a new year

We are excited to turn the page into a new year. 2022 was not the kindest to us, but God is still good no matter what and we are thankful that we can lean on Him during the challenging times of life.

My prayer for all of you is that you would experience God's goodness throughout this new year!

Wedding Card with Framed Florets

It's hard to believe that this is the last blog post for 2022

It has been a hard year for us personally, but God has been faithful, and He never changes. We are anxious to turn the calendar page to see what 2023 holds for us.

Lately I have been sharing cards made using the Framed Florets Stamp Set and the coordinating dies. Mostly I was featuring the Fitting Florets Designer Paper that came out as an exclusive, while supplies last, product.

Today I want to show you that you do NOT need the designer paper to make great cards with the Framed Florets Dies and stamps.

I cased this card from Pinterest, but there is no link for who came up with this gorgeous idea.

We have a wedding coming up for a sweet gal that works with Dale at church, and this will be for them.

Quatrefoil 3D Embossing Folder

Framed Florets Dies

Chic Dies (for the flowers)

(retired) lace ribbon

Pearl Basic Jewels

Colors: Very Vanilla (5-1/2" x 8-1/2", 5-1/8" x 3-7/8", 5" x 3-3/4" - emboss this piece) , Sahara Sand (5-3/8" x 4-1/8") & Blushing Bride.

I used a sponge to lightly color the embossed piece with Sahara Sand ink.

Adorable Owls for All Occasions

Are you ready for another sneak peak from the upcoming Sale a bration?

 

Sale a bration starts on January 5th as well as the new January to April Mini Catalog.

Each Sale a bration I look forward to seeing what the whimsical stamp set will be and we get these items for FREE, stampers!!

These ADORABLE OWLS will be a BIG hit for sure!

The first card that I made with the Adorable Owls was inspired by Stacey Marsh on Pinterest (no blog link)

When we went to Indianapolis for the OnStage event in November we were gifted the DECORATIVE BORDERS Stamp Set, and this card was genius to combine the two.

The "just saying Hello" is from the SIMPLY FABULOUS stamp set.

As soon as I saw the little owl stamp set I immediately thought how cute he would be with a graduation cap on.

His little grad cap was made using the BEAUTIFUL SHAPES Dies. I made a template from the BASIC BORDERS Dies and some Balmy Blue ink to create the cloudy sky

Other: Bough Punch, Peaceful Moments Stamp Set, Round & Square Brads

The second thought I had was how cute he would look with a Santa hat

Product Used: Real Red Card Stock, Basic White, Regals Designer Paper, Hope & Peace Stamp Set, Timber Embossing Folder, Layering Circles Dies, Snowfall Accents Puff Paint. His cute little Santa hat came from the October 2022 Paper Pumpkin stamp set.

THEN... I decided I needed to treat the little owls to every occasion!!

Valentines Day!

Product Used: Merry Melody Embossing Folder, ALPHABET ALA MODE DIES (another sneak peak of a new product in the January-April Mini)

How about St Patrick's Day?

Product Used: Garden Green card stock, Regals Designer Paper, Give It A Whirl Dies (hearts to make the shamrocks), Timeworn Type Embossing Folder, 1-1/4" & 1-3/8" Circle Punches (retired). The little hat and the sentiment were geared on my computer.

Next Up: Easter - I could just picture the little owl flying with a basket filled with easter eggs.

I created the basket with the BEAUTIFUL SHAPES Dies and for the handle it is a 3/4" & a 1" Circle punches (retired). I embossed the little basket with the HIVE embossing folder.

The grasses come from the PALMS DIES

Other: Timeworn Type Embossing Folder, Design a Daydream Designer Paper (host exclusive in the Annual Catalog), Celebrating You Stamp Set.

The itty bitty Easter Eggs were made using the center of the zero in the Playful Alphabet die set. This alphabet die set is retired but hopefully you snagged them up before it was too late. However, I can only imagine you can find a similar oval shape in your stash of dies, you just need to be creative in your search.

Next Up: Mother's Day - I kept thinking of an airplane flying overhead with a big banner saying "Happy Mother's Day" - This is super simple, but all I could come up with, with the vision I had in my head.

Product Used: Pretty Prints Designer Paper, Happy & Heartfelt (retired), banner die from Hold On To Hope (retired)

PATRIOTIC for July 4th, but could also be used for Memorial Day or Veteran's Day

Normally I use this template in the opposite direction but with the fireworks designer paper (from CELEBRATE EVERYTHING) I thought it looked better in this direction.

Other: a non-Stampin' Up! stamp set called OF THEE I SING. 

Last, but not least is a fall themed card

Product Used: Celebrate Everything Designer Paper (Host exclusive from the July to December mini - retiring soon). TIP: the paper is black and white so I sponged Granny Apple Green ink over the leaves so that they would stand out behind the ASPEN Die. 

HELLO HARVEST (retiring soon), Textured Embossing Folder (retired) - it just needed "something". I really hate the flat look so I textured it.

Preview Of Some New Products

I thought that I was all out of the Fitting Florets Designer Paper, but then I see these oval frames sitting on my work station. They were left over from a previous project and I had been procrastinating on how to use them. The ovals are cut with the Framed Florets Dies

Adorable Owls to the rescue!

I would say that the biggest problem I have when using these Adorable Owls is that I never know what color to color them. LOL!! This time I used Ivory & Crumb Cake. A little Balmy Blue for the eyes and Daffodil Delight for the beak and feet.

The next two FRAMED FLORETS cards features some pinks

I am using Blushing Bride and Polished Pink 

This first card also uses Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen

Card #2 uses Balmy Blue and the little flowers are cut directly from the designer paper using one of the dies in the Framed Florets Die set.

Beautiful Birthday

Let's continue with some more of the FRAMED FLORETS and the soon to retire FITTING FLORETS designer paper

I must admit that this pattern of the designer paper had me a little more stumped. It wasn't my favorite, but once it is put together with the beautiful frames, it all comes together in a gorgeous card. I cannot remember who was the originator of this card, but I want to give credit where credit is due.

The designer paper is still available as I am writing this post, but the little gold swirls are gone. Too bad, because they are so cute.
