Grad Cakes

Each Graduation Cake order brings a different theme which displays the individual tastes of each graduate.

Bonnie loves Zebras so a Zebra themed cake was in order...

And this is the card that I made for her

 Bonnie is the sister to my daughter in law, Jessica.  A real sweet girl.

Carissa is a gal from church and I am so thankful for the families that order cakes from me.  Carissa's second cake was just plain plus she had 2 dozen cupcakes added to her order.

Miss Alyssa is another gal from church.  She wanted her cake to be PINK, no decorations (because I discount the cost) and 80 yummy cupcakes.
My busy cake order season is coming to a close - whew! what a bunch of cakes I made this year!
I am so happy to have this extra little bit of income so I can support my Stampin' Up! business!! (haha)

Graduation Cards

I didn't attend a lot of graduation open houses this year, but I sure did make a lot of graduation cakes! The busiest I've ever been.  I also like to send a graduation card to all the kids that graduate that attend our church.  I think there were 20 of them this year.  Here are a few of the different graduation cards that I made this year

Swallowtail

When the Retired Stamp and Accessory lists came out I said that anyone who placed an on line order with me during this time, their name would go into a drawing and the winner would get a NEW product from the NEW Catalog.  Well... drum roll please... the winner is...

I love this SWALLOWTAIL background stamp!  I was thrilled when it was carried over into the NEW 2013-2014 Catalog.
At the last card club class at Glenda's they made this adorable Surprise Pop Up Card by  using the SWALLOWTAIL stamp.

I wasn't able to make it to this class so I am very thankful to my friend Sue who made up my cards for me.  I was intrigued to give it a try on my own so thought I would change it up just a bit and add a bit of color

Soccer, Tennis Anyone?

My mom suggested that I make some sport themed cards, so I pulled out some of my retired stamps and went to work on Soccer and Tennis cards using the stamp sets GOAL and JUST TENNIS

Our son Jeff played tennis from 3rd grade on through his senior year in high school playing second singles.  We LOVED watching Jeff play and traveling with him during the summer months to semi-local tournaments.

Happy Anniversary Sweetheart!

Today is our 36th Wedding Anniversary!! Wow! the time has really flown by and as I look back on our years together I couldn't be more happy than to be married to this giving, loving man.

This is the card that I made for him...

Last week Thursday was our son, Jeff's, birthday and we gathered as a family to celebrate both his birthday and Tyler's birthday who had his birthday on Friday.  Click HERE to see Tyler's card again.

Inside:

NO birthday is a birthday without a cake from Gramma so here is Tyler's cake... I went simple this year and Tyler loves Harry Potter.  I was able to find the cake topper and the rings for the cupcakes on Amazon prime.

Then I wanted to surprise Jeff with a little cake too.  I don't usually make a cake for the adults but I found this Red Wings decal and was able to make an edible image with my NEW Edible Image Printer.  Jeff is such a huge Red Wings fan that I just HAD to make a simple cake for him too.

 Our family started something fun when we go out to dinner to celebrate birthdays or occasions.  We started last year just prior to Joey and Melissa's wedding when we took them out to Alpin Rose restauarant.  The end of August was Joey's birthday so we went to Bagger Dave's.  Can you see the theme yet? Well, we were up to the letter F so Jeff and Tyler chose to go to Famous Dave's. Here I am with all my kids! Can you say "One happy mama?"

RHSSC #91

This is the Red Hot Stampers Sketch Challenge for this week.

My hubby and I have been working on cleaning up, organizing and remodeling our basement and my craft room.  I ran across my "Lucky Leftover" box among the shuffle so thought it was time to institute some Lucky Leftovers in my Sketch Challenges.
Both the stamped image and the polka dot window sheet was in the Lucky Leftover box so 1-2-3 this was a super easy Sketch Challenge this week.

Thank You Teacher

If you are a blog-hopper like me you probably have already seen that the NEW CATALOG went live yesterday!! And it's a beauty!

So many fun new stamps and accessories - I'm in Stampin' Up! heaven!!
I have updated the dates for the June and July Classes on the right side bar so check it out to see which one will work for you. The June Techniques Class will be a Punch Art Class again - one of the favorite requests.  All classes are $12 unless otherwise stated.
