When I saw these cute cookies on Honeybee's blog I thought what a fun card the pirate would be.

This little Pirate card was my inspiration for one of our PUNCH ART Cards for this months PUNCH ART Class. (See, I can even inspire myself!!)

The ladies not only learned how to make a Punch Art Pirate, they also got tips on how to make the plank background.

I thought I would use one of the retiring stamp sets for my challenge today so I started at A and chose the first set that I thought would fit this challenge.   So a fond Farewell to BABY BUNDLE STAMP SET.

I also used some of the retiring colors...Bashful Blue, Pretty In Pink and Certainly Celery.

Tess the Graduate

This is a side step card for a special graduate who is having her open house today.  Congratulations Alyssa, best wishes and prayers for your future.

And these are the cakes that I (we) made for her open house.  

 Alyssa will be attending Cornerstone College here in rand Rapids and will be playing tennis there so she wanted a tennis themed cake.
And I said "we" earlier because this is Cherie who came and helped me decorate the cakes.  She was  a huge help and as you can see she washed up all the dishes - HUGE!! Thank you Cherie!!  It was fun bouncing ideas off her, and I look forward to next Friday if she can come again for the next decorating session.

 These fun cupcakes designed like a wedding dress is for my gal, Val, who is getting married in June.
She will make a beautiful bride

A Mountain and a Castle

These days I have been making more cakes than cards, so I thought I would show you two of the cakes I have made so far this week.

 This mountain themed cake was for a gal at church whose thoughtful hubby orders her birthday cake from me every year.  He really stretches me with his themes for her, but I am liking how this one turned out...A LOT!

I thought it was appropriate to have an eagle at the top of a mountain

Well, time to decorate the next two orders today!  I actually have a teenage girl coming from church who is interested in what I do so we are spending some time together today and she is going to learn some cake decorating techniques.  Stay tuned for more yummy pictures.

Farewell Artistic Etchings

This was a special order card and I love how it turned out.  I cased it from Vicky Wright.  The technique is called FAUX PATINA. I didn't want to smoosh the flower on the front of the card so I made her an envelope that was wider, knowing that this was going to be a hand delivered card it worked out perfect for me to make a second flower and attach it to the envelope flap.  Using the Simply Scored Tool with the Diagonal Plate, making an envelope is as easy as pie.  (Actually easier, I don't like to make pies)
