On the vacation front: Tuesday we went to Jekyll Island. What a beautiful island!

The highlight for that day was a visit to the sea turtle hospital. How interesting to see how they take sea turtles that were injured in some way and get them back to health so that they can release them back into the wild. One turtle was struck by a boat and the spine was injured. Poor thing cannot use his back "legs" and they are working on therapy so that he doesn't just float. Their hopes are that a zoo will take him in since he cannot be released to the wild. the black sack on his backside is a weight for therapy.

We also went to Driftwood Beach - driftwood as far as the eye can see
