OK - now on to my guest stamper of the day, Sue
Sue holds regular classes and these are the cards that her gals made at the last class
These first 4 cards she made using the HEY SPORTS FAN 12X12 Designer Paper (which, by the way, is on the LAST CHANCE LIST and it is on sale for only $5.75 (item #157882) The SPORTS EVENTS DIES are also on sale 50% off for only $13.50 (item #157892). These dies will cut out the items seen on these cards

You can see more Sports Fan cards that I posted previously using this paper by clicking HERE

These next two cards are simple and quick using the new SUN PRINTS Designer Paper
The sentiments are stamped with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder
I believe this next card was made using the foils from the WAVES OF THE OCEAN (which is no longer available), but the beautiful die cut IS available in the ARTISTIC DIES
I love her bendi card - want to learn how to make this card (you can use whatever products you would like, of course) just click HERE to see Melva's youtube video on how to make a BENDI Card
Sue absolutely LOVES anything to do with the sea, the ocean, or anything tropical. So this next card was made with 2 products from the last Sale a bration (Jan/Feb 2022). the SIMPLY MARBLEOUS 6x6 designer paper and ISLAND VIBES stamp set. I believe the sentiment was from another free set from SAB but since I am not home I cannot look that up.
This card uses the new HUES OF HAPPINESS Designer Paper and the BOUQUET OF LOVE HYBRID EMBOSSING FOLDER.
Just a heads up, the Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder is on sale for only $14.50 (on the last chance list) (item #157641)
This next card uses a background stamp called GENTLE WAVES - remember I told you that Sue loves all things about the water/ocean/tropical. Gentle Waves stamp is on the Last Chance List, but not discounted. It is $17.00 (item #157686) She combined it with the PICTURE THIS DIES and OCEANFRONT Stamp Set. - super cute!

Two cards using NATURES PRINTS Stamp Set, and a new embossing folder called FERN (item #158804 $9.00). The card on the right is the Book Binding Technique.
HAPPINESS ABOUNDS is the stamp set and dies that Sue used on this last card. - I love the etched out piece, and the flowers stamped on Vellum Card Stock (item #101856 $10 for 20 sheets). Stamped with VERSAMARK and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder (#155554) then colored on the BACK SIDE using Stampin' Blends. She even added a little bling.
On the vacation front: Yesterday we started out by going to a Farmer's Market.
And even though I rarely change my earrings, I just had to purchase a pair that was made by this sweet 8 year old girl. I love to promote creativity!
It was held at Forsyth Park where they have the largest water fountain in Savannah

It is one of the most photographed sites in Savannah (and we saw several serious photographers there)
It is often the site of proposals, engagement photo shoots and weddings
This fountain is over 150 years old.
The funny story is that this fountain was ordered from the Sears and Roebucks Catalog
Our tour guide said that they ordered it in white but it arrived in purple, orange and blue. Instead of returning it, they used it as-is until someone got smart and said "paint that thing white"!!
We weren't able to purchase the local fruits and veggies at the market since we are staying in a hotel, but we did purchase 2 Georgia Peaches to eat fresh, and some wonderful oils.
We weren't able to see the St John the Baptist Cathedral the first day so we wanted to be sure to get to that. It is amazing! Still used for regular worship.
I would love to hear this pipe organ!!

The first day in Savannah we accessed the tour trolley, but yesterday was all walking!!
We logged in over 20,000 steps and over 7 miles. It's no wonder that my back was feeling the ache at night.
Leopold's Ice Cream is (evidently) a famous ice cream although I've never heard of it before. It was delicious! and it must be phenomenal because the lines are tremendous and everyone is willing to wait for it.  Luckily we got there when the line was just a short way out the door.
We chose 2 flavors (we are sharing everything this trip). Georgia peach on the top and
Cookies 2 on the bottom. They were both amazing!
It states that Leopold's is a Savannah tradition since 1919
On the walls there were signed photos of the actors that had visited them
when they were there filming movies
One of the things I wanted to be sure to see was the bench that Forrest Gump sat on in the movie, since it was filmed right here in Savannah. Our tour guide showed us the exact spot where it was filmed, but I can't remember. He also showed us the point where the feather floats down from in the movie.  So cool - it's still one of my favorite movies.
Several other movies were filmed in Savannah
1. Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil (MANY people talked about it and our tour guide referenced it a LOT of our tour) You can find the book at many stores (1997)
2. Something to Talk About with Julia Roberts (1995)
3. The Last Song with Mylie Cyrus (2010)
4. Glory with Morgan Freeman (1989)
5. The live production of Lady & The Tramp (2019)
6. Baywatch with Zach Ephram (2017) - I thought this one was really odd but parts of it was also filmed in Florida, but the parts filmed in Savannah were filmed on Tybee Island - we didn't get a chance to get over there on this trip.

Another spot I wanted to check out is Skidaway Road...check this out...

It is 1+ miles long lined with hundreds of Southern Live Oak Trees (the states official tree) that are covered in Spanish Moss (not from Spain) This corridor leads to Wormsloe State Historic Site. The buildings no longer remain except for some sparse walls that were made of Tabby (equal parts oyster shells, sand, lime and fresh water)

This guy was dressed in the garb of that day and boy, must he ever been hot in that get-up, because we were drenched! He was so sweet to interact with this little boy learning so many cool things about that day and age. Here they are discussing the benefits of the sap from the pine tree.

We have also seen some beautiful flowers here
