Christi's Creative Crew: Sending...Birthday Wishes

I would say that one of my favorite new stamp sets in the annual catalog is SENDING SMILES

This card was inspired by Erica Cerwin on Pinterest and it is teamed up with the PERFECTLY PENCILED Designer Paper, which is an all black & white 12x12 sheets of designer paper.

The trick for the layered "Sending" is to use the ADHESIVE SHEETS on the card stock that will have the detailed "Sending" cut out from. I also found that the little dot on the "i" is tricky, so I made sure that I cut out the black background first, then after I cut out the Polished Pink "Sending" I laid the die right on top of the black and using my piercer, I poked the dot out right onto the right spot. It really works pretty slick, so when I prepared these cards for the May Card Class, the ladies already had the dot in place. (yes, I do a lot of prep work for them)
