Today is our grandson, Tyler’s, first day back to school. It is so hard to believe that he will be a third grader this year – but even more unbelievable is the fact that Gracie is going to Pre-Kindergarten tomorrow. I made up some teacher gifts to send along with them for their teachers – you know… to butter them up for good grades, right???
They each had the same items to bring… A journal, note paper with a bookmark, and hand sanitizer along with a card. Stampin’ Up! is now selling Cork Sheets so that really was a great look for these cards. The stamp set I used was called First Day. Pretty appropriate wouldn’t you say?!
Since the kids are not with me on these days (Julie always takes off for these special events) I didn’t get a picture of them, but I bet if you hop over to Julie’s blog at http://thecrazywondefulnessIcalllife.blogspot.com I am sure within a few days she will have a posting of my cute grandkids all decked out in their going to school gear.
Back to school means a lot of changes for me as well. Three kids are done at Auntie’s along with Tyler and Gracie except for before and after school and 5 others will replace them. Here is a sneak peak of one of the cuties that already had his first day.
This is baby Elijah! He is almost like a grandson to me because his mommy is a sweet, young, friend who was such a HUGE help for many years as a backup babysitter when we needed to go to Joey’s baseball games. She would pop in many times just to play with the kids and we formed quite a bond. I am happy to care for little Elijah while Mommy continues her college degree. Stay tuned for more pictures off all the fun kids who will be Charlie’s new playmates.
So For Now…
Happy Stamping !!
