As I am browsing through the Stampin' Connection - a site only for Stampin' Up! Demonstrators, I ran across this cute UPS Truck and USPS Mail Truck by Jill Hilliard. As a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator I LOVE to have the UPS driver show up at my door to deliver all the wonderful Stampin' Up! supplies, and since I normally get the same driver I wanted to gift him with something cute and hand made. This was PERFECT!!
Because we just moved I also wanted to make a good impression with the new Mail Carrier. I miss my old driver, but I LOVE my new home and life style.
These are not hard, but you do need to follow some steps...
Let's give it a try together...
BASE: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" score at 1 1/5" on the 2 long sides.
Then turn and score at 1 1/2", 5 1/2", and 7".
Snip on all 6 short score lines and fold to form base of truck.
This next photo shows you where I placed my red line tape,
a must-have for assembling boxes of any kind.
this is what the base will look like
Windshield: cut 5 1/2" x 2 1/2", score at 1/2" on ONE long side,
turn and score at 1 1/2" from each side.
Cut away the small rectangles and adhere to the truck base.
ROOF: Cut 5 1/2" x 8 1/2". Score down the long side edge at 2 1/2"
turn and score at 3" and 5 1/2".
Snip on the shorter score lines and trim the back panels
to make the roof and truck door.
Just Google the logos and print and trim to adhere to the side of the truck
I used Brushed Silver Card Stock for the front window (1 1/2" x 2")
Wheels in Basic Black 1 1/4" Circle, and Brushed Silver 1"
Head Lights Basic Black 1/2" Circle and
Brushed Silver I used the largest circle on the Owl Builder Punch.
Glimmer Brads add the final touch to the wheels.
I adhered them with Dimensionals
Thanks For Stopping By!
Have a Blessed Day!!
