My Father-in-Law loved his gardens. He could spend hours tending it and growing the most perfect fruits, vegetables and flowers. The weeds didn’t even dare to enter his garden because they knew he would be yanking them out at first site. We REALLY REALLY miss Dad and the fruits of his labors. Now Dale has followed a bit in his footsteps with a small garden, several fruit trees and yes, oh, yes, a ROSE garden. These are some pictures he took just this spring of some of our roses…
When I saw a variety of roses made using Stampin’ Ups! wonderful cardstock and punches I just had to give it a try. Glenda asked me to demo it at Wednesday nights meeting. They really are simple to make, and everyone there thought they liked the shape of the rose that had the four petals for the bottom layer rather than the ones with the six petals.
You can see I had to give a try at a Lily too. The rose tutorial was found on Rhea Anderson’s blog http://nightowlstampers.blogspot.com There was also tutorials on Sharon Field’s blog http://createdbyu.blogspot.com and the lily tutorial was found first on http://papercraftsloveaffair.blogspot.com then sent me to Lynn
Pratt’s site http://stampndesign.blogspot.com for more.
So For Now...
Happy Stamping!!
