Sentimental Sunday

Sunday, November 22, 2015
Our little Sweetie is doing very well, but he will be heading into surgery on Tuesday to have a "port" put in his little tummy so they can have the feeding tube through there instead of down his nose. Sawyer has really blossomed since his Tongue and Lip Revision.  He is picking up many words and noises, and he has learned how to walk.   He gets so excited when he starts to walk that he squeals and claps his hands (and then falls on his bum.)  What a HOOT!
I was privileged to be there last week when his visiting nurse came for her weekly visit.  Here Sawyer is getting weighed...20# 14oz.  We are thrilled with that because he had lost so much weight after the revision which landed him in the hospital, which resulted in the feeding tube.  We love to see a little "chub" on him now.  When I looked back at my records to see how big his daddy (our son, Jeff) was at 16 months it looks like Sawyer is right on track to be the same size as his daddy.  Even though I didn't chart Jeff's weight at 16 months, he was 18# at a year and 22# at 2 years so it looks like Sawyer is fitting into that same frame work. Continue to pray for our Sweetie that he will learn how to eat regular food.  We can't wait for the tubes to be gone so we can kiss his little cheeks.
Thanks for stopping by!
And have a blessed Sunday
