Rectangle Window, Emboss Resist, and Kissing

Saturday, August 7, 2010

This is the last card we made at our Techniques Class this month.
I wanted to show the ladies how to use our new Presto Specialty Paper found on page 172 of the new Catalog and Idea Book. When you first see it, it looks like white on white, but it is actually a pre-embossed white on white and you can do all kinds of great techniques using Emboss Resist, but for this card I chose the lattice looking piece because it matches the ice cream cone, (and because I copied some one else’s idea – of course) Thanks Sherri Barron for this cute card idea.

This card incorporates not one, not two, but three techniques! First they Brayered the Presto Specialty Paper so I guess technically this technique is called Emboss Resist. Then they punched a Rectangle Window using the 1 3/8” square punch, and then they used the Kissing Technique to make the lines on the ice cream. At least this ice cream cone won’t give them brain freeze, but all the info they packed in this month just might (tehe).
