Christi's Creative Crew: By The Bay

BY THE BAY is another one of the Stamp Sets that you can get for FREE during Sale a bration.

I cased these two cards directly from the brochure and featured card #2 at my February Stamp a Stack classes. They were both featured at my open house in January.

This first card got rave reviews, but thought it was a little more fussy to make for a Stamp a Stack Class.

I used the RECTANGLE STITCHED FRAMELITS DIES to cut out the center piece AFTER I stamped the image on the 5 1/2" x 3 3/4" Whisper White.

Then I colored int the image with my STAMPIN' BLENDS.

I stamped the image again on a scrap piece of paper then fussy cut to create a mask before I colored in the sky using my SPONGE ROLLERS, variegating the color from darker to lighter.

The base of the card 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" is Night of Navy, and the banner is Mango Melody.

This second card was made with one of our new colors: Gray Granite. I love all our gray shades and this one has a hint of brown to it. (in my opinion).

I used the NEUTRALS 6x6 Designer Paper Stack and the dies from ROSE TRELLIS THINLITS DIES.

I used my handy dandy dental threader to "sew" LINEN THREAD around the edge of the die

These are super flexible and make it super easy to thread through these little holes.

To keep my plovers white white, I created a mask to use while I did the sponging Crumb Cake and Pool Party.

The leaves are also found in the ROSE TRELLIS THINLITS DIES
