Wrapping Up The Week: Adventure Bound

I have made more cards using the ADVENTURE BOUND Designer Paper Stack than I have days to share with you so I will share a final few that were also favorites of mine.
On this card I used my non-Stampin' Up! product called "flower-soft" that I bought at a local hobby store. I loved how the flowers are climbing the brick wall.

This one will be great for an anniversary or maybe I can save it for next year's Valentines Day! - so cute using the WOOD YOU BE MINE? stamp set.

The beautiful Lotus Blossom on this card is one of the stamp sets that you can get FREE with a $50 purchase during Sale a bration. These 2 cards are using the same woodgrain paper from the ADVENTURE BOUND Designer Series Paper Stack. I love the versatility of this paper!

Another favorite with the tree images. All I had to do was add the beautiful Butterfly. It is layered with vellum and Mossy Meadow card stock

Simple guy card - I love the antique car image because my brother-in-law owns antique cars and when I was a teen ager he would take me for rides in his Model-T. I loved how all the people would stare and be envious of being able to ride in a car like that. Of course it wasn't so cool when the car stopped running at a stop light and he had to get out to crank it!! Great memories!!

This card was one we made at a COME STAMP WITH ME Tuesday Class using the stone image paper from the ADVENTURE BOUND Designer Series Paper Stack

And this one with the water - so cool! I teamed it up with the MOON LAKE stamp set for my February Stamp a Stack class. The ladies got to do some creative sponging on this one.

Believe it or not, I still have a couple more paper designs that I still haven't used yet. This paper stack is such a great bargain at only $6.95 for 48 sheets of 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" double sided designer paper. (4 each of 12 double-sided designs)

This is a card (inspired by LeeAnn Greff) that I made as a thank you for the lovely couple that we rented the double wide mobile home from when we went to Florida. We became fast friends, and now we look forward to them coming home from Florida so we can spend more time with them. They were very gracious hosts and it made our time in Florida extra special.

I think this idea reminds me of the cute movie UP! but it also made me think about our home away from home and that is why I chose this one to send to them. I used the stamp set HOLIDAY HOME (from the Holiday Catalog last fall) and the "thank you" is from LOTUS BLOSSOM, (the set you can get for FREE with a $50 purchase during Sale a bration). Want to know how to make to little ends on the balloons? Those are the feet from the OWL BUILDER PUNCH! SWEET!

Last Friday night our youth group put on their annual EVENING OF AMORE`. This is a fund raiser night for the teens to earn money to support their summer mission trips. I love to see how the church enjoys supporting them in this way and it is such a fun evening out. They ask for donations big and small, so I usually donate a variety of cards. I was inspired by Brenda Quintana and her tutorial on the box dimensions. It worked out perfectly.

Dale donated 3 gift baskets of soaps, lotions and candles. I can tell you these were a BIG hit. I am so proud of him and his new found business. Of course I forgot to take a picture of those - sorry about that! You can see more of his products HERE.

What a fun night! The kids did a skit which "roasted" the Office Staff at church. They sure did capture the personalities of each staff member - of course I got the biggest chuckle out of the one who played Dale. Here he is with a mop (the kid is wearing Dale's coat, so when they asked for it he knew something was up)

Here he is with a bar of Hawaiian soap - now Dale thinks he needs to come up with a Hawaiian theme soap line.

They did a Hawaiian style "Hula with the Stars" skit - so cute! The lucky adult participants did NOT know that they were going to be called up on stage to dance. This one is our Pastor Larry - so funny! Great attitude! He has become a wonderful friend to us.

This is Tutu Hughes (Tutu means grandmother in Hawaiian) the mother to our Director of Student Ministries. She and her hubby (and 2 sons) came from Seattle Washington to be with us that night! She did all the cooking and I tell you what - it was fantastic!! Authentic Hawaiian food prepared by a Hawaiian!! She was/is a professional hula dancer with years of experience. She did a little teaching of the Hula that night and then closed out our night with a beautiful farewell hula dance just for us! We felt extremely honored.

Beautiful - just beautiful!

If you get my blog feed directly to your inbox you probably think I am going crazy because I said it was ONE day to Valentine's Day - where is my head?! I fixed it, but now that you all know my internal clock is off you can have a good laugh at my expense.

Tuesday night I held the monthly team meeting and after going over Stampin' Up! news and happenings we like to dig into stamping. Brenda Quintana had this fabulous print out for color combos which is a great resource but also a great sales tool as well.

The gals stamped the Lotus Blossom which is a FREE stamp set you can get with your $50 purchase during Sale a bration. When they were done I challenged them to stamp a Lotus Blossom flower on a card that was NOT on the chart. When Gracie was over I asked her what 2 colors I should make my flower in and she said "red and blue" so this is how my flower turned out - kinda funky don't you think?

These are 2 of the cards that we made at this months card club. So I thought I would show you the "change it up" versions. From this...

to this... just adding layers gave depth and dimension
