For All You Dutch Boys & Girls

While I am just sitting here, recovering, I REALLY miss being in my craft room creating cards and planning classes for everyone. Especially since we have the new MINI catalog and the Sale a Bration Brochure soon to be available for all of you to purchase from.
I've worked in advance to plan for my Stamp a Stack classes (you can see the dates and times on the right side bar of this blog), and for the very popular COME STAMP WITH ME TUESDAY open house style classes.
But in the mean time...
Here are some great cards for all you Dutch boys and girls:

This first card was inspired by Jackie Bolhuis. While she shares the same last name as my mother-in-law (maiden name), she is no relation. Such a shame, because she is such a talented demonstrator, and I would love to claim her as family.
What I changed up: The sentiment.  While the sentiments in the stamp set are pretty cool, I thought that a standard birthday card would sell better.
These next 2 cards were inspired by stampinsimple

I changed up the sentiments on these 2 cards as well, using the oh, so cute, SPECIAL SOMEONE Stamp Set from the new Mini Catalog, and the happy birthday from the December Paper Pumpkin Kit.
I thought that the BLUEBERRY BUSHEL ink was the best choice and closest to the delft blue that you see connected with all the Dutch souvenirs.
We live so very close to Windmill Island in Holland, Michigan, but sadly we do not always take the chance to visit it often. I'm thinking we need to be sure to get there this spring when all the tulips are in bloom. It is absolutely gorgeous then!

In fact, Dale and I both sell our products (cards for me - of course, and soaps, lotions, candles, etc for Dale) in a cute little store right downtown called Mayberry & Co. These cards should be especially popular in the spring at that little store.

Come Stamp With Me!

It's Tuesday! and one of my favorite days of the week because it's COME STAMP WITH ME TUESDAY!!
Each Tuesday I have an open house style "class" with 4 stations set up.
Ladies come when they can between 10am and 5pm and can make as many or as few cards as they want or need.
I give myself some freedom on this class and will use retired stamp sets and products.  They love it because they have purchased these stamp sets in the past and this gives them ideas of how to use the stamps that they already have.
These are the cards that I have out for today.

This first card combines the retired designer paper with the current stamp set A GOOD MAN! They love it when I feature masculine cards.

This second card I used the current BIRD BALLAD Designer paper, and the current Stamp Set SPECIAL CELEBRATION, but the little bird stamps are from a Paper Pumpkin Kit. This card was inspired by Kez

I am anxious to get my hands on some new Christmas Stamp Sets but DASHING DEER carried over to the Annual Catalog so it is still current, but the Designer Paper is retired from last years Holiday Catalog. I can tend to be a paper hoarder so wanted to use it up on my Tuesday classes

Petal Pallette

Such a stunning card using the PETAL PALLET Stamp Set.

The card base and ribbon is BERRY BURST, but the Stampin' Blends Markers I used are the RICH RAZZLEBERRY Combo Pack. I chose the GARDEN TRELLIS Embossing Folder to emboss the Whisper White piece (4 x 5 1/4). The leaves were colored using the OLD OLIVE STAMPIN" BLENDS COMBO Pack.

There is a Framelit to cut out the larger flowers, (PETALS & MORE) but the smaller flowers (toward the bottom) were cut out by hand. I was wishing that I had stamped my "Happy Birthday" just a little bit lower, but it still works.

Sweet Cupcake for CSWMT

Now that we have a brand new catalog and some fabulous new Designer Papers it means that I have a whole stash of newly retired Designer Paper that needs to get used up.
Today's feature card will be out for the ladies to stamp at the COME STAMP WITH ME TUESDAY class today and it was Inspired by Carolina Evans on Pinterest.  The Designer Paper I'm using is called Pop of Pink. I loved this Designer Paper so I stocked up on it.  This paper is basically Black, White, Melon Mambo and a couple sheets of Gold embossing on white.

The sentiment is from a fabulous NEW stamp set called SPECIAL CELEBRATION .  We are always begging for stamp sets that have great greeting for the inside of your cards and this set is perfect, teaming up a sentiment with a greeting.

The key to stamping the cupcake is to stamp the solid image of the frosting in Pink Pirouette, the second stamp in Melon Mambo THEN: swipe your Embossing Buddy over both colors before stamping the third stamp in Versa Mark and embossing it with the Gold Embossing Powder.  (the stamps are numbered on the clear acetate that the photopolymer stamps are adhered to in the case. By using the Embossing Buddy it will keep the embossing powder from sticking to the first 2 colors.
The cupcake liner I started with stamp #3 in Early Espresso, #2 stamp in Sahara Sand, and Stamp #1 is also Sahara Sand but I stamped it off once onto scrap paper before stamping it onto the finished piece.  Another bonus is the coordinating Framelits
