Just a Note

Saturday, August 14, 2010

While Dale was working on our kitchen make-over I tried to help him out, but ended up landing a board on the top of my foot. OUCH! The first couple days I didn’t do much of anything, and thankfully my friend pitched in to watch the kids. She even brought down a fun little chair with wheels so I could scoot around. Normally I’m up and around all day, but since I had to stay put and ice this crazy foot, I was able to accomplish quite a bit.

(At least I had my toe nails done so they looked pretty for the XRay!)

My stash of things I have been storing up for Craft Sale projects was starting to over flow so I thought it was about time to start working on some of these ideas.

Two different designs, but the same style of note pads are a great sell at the craft sales. I combined our Perfect Dots Embossing Folder with the new Hostess Level 1 stamp set Because I Care and another new set called Elements of Style to decorate the cover of the note pads.

MENU:
SS: Because I Care, Elements of Style, Elegant Cheer
CS: WW, Cherry Cobbler
INK: Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Marina Mist, Pacific Point, Regal Rose, Concord Crush, Early Espresso
Accessories: Butterfly Punch, Perfect Dots EF, Big Shot

So For Now…

Happy Stamping!!

Anniversary Weekend

Thursday, June 3, 2010

Over Memorial Day weekend Dale and I spent the time away celebrating our 33rd wedding anniversary. (Actual date is June 3) We drove to Holland State Park where our family plans to have pictures taken, just to scope it out and see what to expect. Here are a couple pictures of us at Holland State Park...

Then we ventured to Grand Haven to walk the pier and enjoy the atmosphere. Dale really wanted to see the sunset at night,

and on our way back the Musical Fountain was just starting so we sat and enjoyed that too.

A nice lady walking by said she would take our picture together… That was nice!

20 Looks like we are still happy to be together after 33 years! Hardly seems possible that this much time has gone by. My mother used to say how ‘time flies’ and when I was a teenager, so anxious to grow up, I didn’t believe her. Well I can tell you now… she was right!! But then again, aren’t all mothers right?

Since we were out by the different lighthouses that weekend I thought it was a good time to share with you a lighthouse card that I made recently using my friend Marla’s stamp set “Light Unto My Path” (retired) and the idea from Beth on Splitcoast Stampers.

MENU:
SS: Light Unto My Path, Elegant Cheer
CS: Kraft, Very Vanilla, Baja Breeze (a returning color in July! Yeah!), DSP (retired)
INK: Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Kraft Taffeta Ribbon, Dimensionals

So For Now…

Happy Stamping!!
