ON STAGE!

Monday, April 10, 2017
WE had a great time at the Toronto ONSTAGE Stampin' Up! Event this past weekend!
I wanted to share with you the pillow gifts that I brought with for my two roomies!
Stampin' Up! had given their demonstrators some images that we were allowed to use on our blogs, etc. so I sized it down and printed it out for a belly band on this divided treat box.
Inside I put some tiny sticky notes for them to tag their NEW Catalog with, a chocolate treat, and another box?
Yes, I made this cute little box to hold some mints.  I used small Velcro dots, that I purchased at the local fabric store, for the closure, and window sheet (acetate) for the opening.
I sized the ONSTAGE image even smaller to fit the top of the box and added a large pearl on the front.  I also gave them a yellow highlighter so they can mark up their catalogs with the stamp sets that they already own.
For the decoration on the top of the box I stamped 3 flowers from the Petite Petals Stamp Set using Rich Razzleberry Ink on the same color Card Stock, and them stamped more flowers using Old Olive ink on the same color paper and cut them apart for the leaves. My box and dividers were made with Bermuda Bay Card Stock.
I'm really happy with how they turned out! I got the dimensions from this youtube video
Stay tuned I will have more to share with you in the upcoming days.

Origami Owl Inspired

Monday, November 2, 2015
This card (cased by Sam Donald) made me think of the Origami Owl style jewelry and since my niece used to be a consultant for Origami Owl I thought this would be a perfect card for her birthday.
Simply Elegant!
I popped up each layer using dimensionals as well as the oval frame and the flowers.  The silver crinkles are what I pulled off the Silver Metallic Bakers Twine.  Some of the Basic Rhinestones are colored with the Rich Razzleberry Blendabilities and some are left plain.
Here are the supplies I used

The Old Rugged Cross

Thursday, April 2, 2015
This is day 4 of the Easter Cards that I made to send out this year.  This is also one of the cards that was out on Tuesday for my COME STAMP WITH ME class.

I can tell you a story about when our Joey was little... Our church had just purchased brand new hymnals through a generous donation, and one Sunday the Associate Pastors wife (a cousin) came up and said that I might like to buy this hymnal.  When I questioned her why she showed me the edge where Joey had written (in ink) "I was here, and was Mom, Dad, Julie and Jeff"  Guess there was no doubt that I was going to purchase that hymnal, but it sure has come in handy especially when making cards like this one.  I just photo copy the song, sizing it down to fit my card front.  The little flower were stamped with the Petite Petals stamp and then I punched out the center of that flower.  The cross is from REFUGE and STRENGTH a retired but favorite set.

Stepping It Up

Monday, September 22, 2014
I saw this card on Pinterest by Hayley and I like the simpleness of it, but found it rather plain
This first card uses Pear Pizzazz and So Saffron and the FLOWER SHOP stamp set for the largest flower.
Next Best thing (because I love the layout) was to change up the colors and using the same color scheme I just bumped it up to brighter colors.
In this stepped up version I used Old Olive for my green and Hello Honey for my yellow.  I still used the PETITE PETALS stamp set for the small flowers but used BEAUTIFUL BUNCH for my largest flower then gave the centers some added "oomph" by layering them, then adding the tiniest pearls in the centers.  FLOWERING FLOURISHES is the other stamp set I used as well as Delightful Dozen (retired) for the greeting.
This is just one of the cards that will be out for you to stamp at tomorrow's COME STAMP WITH ME class.  You must know the drill by now...
TIME: 10am to 5pm
COST: $1.50 per card you choose to make
Come when you can, leave when you must.

These are the cards that will be out for you to make... Mother's Day is creeping up on us SOON - like this coming Sunday so I have a card designated for Mother - but if you do not need a Mother's Day card, you know I have a ton of stamps and you can choose whichever sentiment works best for your card sending needs.  Although the card with the ship says HAPPY BIRTHDAY, it too, can have the words changed up in case you might want a Father's Day card for example.

BONUS!!  for everyone who comes to make at least one card you get to make one of these cute 3x3 cards (one per customer please). These are great little cards to put with a gift or if you like to send lunch box notes to your kids.

Ok to give credit where credit is due I was inspired by these amazing Stampin' Up! Demonstrators: Glenda Calkins, Stampin' Connection, LeeAnn Greff, France Martin and the 3x3: Nikki Spencer

Happy Easter Everyone!

Sunday, April 20, 2014
He is Risen! He is Risen indeed!!  Hope you all are having a Blessed Easter, celebrating our RISEN Lord!!

This will be my final Easter card to post - I hope you have been inspired to make some of your own.

Once again I used the EASTER BLESSINGS (retired) stamp set and CROSSES OF HOPE (also retired) and I teamed them up with the stamp set PETITE PETALS.  Some of the flowers are stamped directly onto the cardstock and some are popped up.  I used the Bird Builder Punch for the leaves and some tiny pearls to accent the flower centers.
Colors: Elegant Eggplant and Pink Pirouette

Have a Blessed Easter!

Easter Blessings

Wednesday, March 5, 2014
Getting a start on Easter Cards for the Craft Sale on Saturday as well as stocking up the Used To Be New Consignment Shop.

I love combining the new stamps PETITE PETALS with some of my favorite retired stamps (CROSSES OF HOPE and EASTER BLESSINGS) - inspired by Melissa Davies

The colors I used are Elegant Eggplant and Blushing Bride with some Pear Pizzazz leaves punched from the Bird Builder Punch.  Adding the little pearls and popping up the cross and 3 of the flowers gives it that perfect dimension.
