Swap cards from Sue V & Sue N

The bulk of our retreat was spent with our Shoebox Swaps.

If you have never heard of a shoebox swap - it basically is when each person prepares a card and makes up a "kit" to make their card. Then everyone rotates from station to station creating each others cards.

There were 12 of us attending the Saturday retreat, which means we each went home with a variety of 11 cards

We were all quite amazed that no-one duplicated the same stamp set and only two stampers used the same designer paper.

Today we will feature cards from Sue V and Sue N

Sue N used the ADVENTUROUS SKY stamp set and Basic Beige card stock

A new and fun twist was that she used a score plate to add some score lines to the card front.

I know exactly who I hope to send this to.

Sue V used the REGAL WINTER Designer Paper. We actually had a choice of colors and I chose to make the Night of Navy version.

Today's card features the ADVENTUROUS SKY stamp set and dies plus the TAKE TO THE SKY Designer Paper.

I was inspired by Steve Salotto

What I changed up - the sentiment- I used one from PEACEFUL MOMENTS, and I changed up the die, using the GREETINGS OF THE SEASON dies.

The airplane is colored in with Pecan Pie and Smoky Slate.

Our guest stamper today is Sue

Sue holds monthly card buffet classes and shared with us the cards that she prepped for both her July and August classes - super great!! Sue has stuck with me right from the beginning 16 years ago. I am very thankful for her.

The sentiment comes from WANTED TO SAY and the embossing folder is DOTTED CIRCLES

An elegant birthday card using MAGNOLIA MOODS stamp set and dies

An excellent example of using the THOUGHTFUL JOURNEY Designer Paper (15% off until 8-31-24)

This card using the ADVENTUROUS SKY Bundle, but it also uses the THOUGHTFUL JOURNEY DSP (15% off until 8-31-24)

Sue really put her THOUGHTFUL JOURNEY DSP to work (15% off until 8-31-24), using them again on these two cards using the SEASIDE WISHES Stamp Set & Dies.

FRAMES & FLOWERS DSP Specialty Pack makes making cards pretty easy with the precut sheets of DSP. She also used the stamp set YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. She even added a PAPER BUTTERFLY ACCENT.

HaPEA Birthday! what a fun sentiment and such a cute stamp! Sue said that her granddaughter especially liked this card using the SWEET PEAS Stamp Set and the SPOTLIGHT ON NATURE dies

This set of three cards was made using the EXPRESSIONS OF KINDNESS KIT - one of the prettiest kits we've had available. She also used a retired stamp set called GO TO GREETINGS
