For All You Baseball Fans!

Sunday, June 5, 2022

I wanted to use some of the products from the January to June Mini Catalog that did NOT carrying over to the Annual Catalog.

I figure if I don't feature them you might miss out on some very cool products.

Today's products are the HEY SPORTS FAN SUITE with the YOUR BIGGEST FAN stamp set

Here is the full suite of products

This first card is one that was featured recently at a Come Stamp With Me Tuesday Class and was inspired by Kim. I loved teaming it up with the HATS OFF stamp set & dies (retired)
Measurements:
Base card - Real Red - 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" scored at 4-1/4"
Very Vanilla - 1-1/2" x 3-3/4"
Night of Navy - 4" x 5-1/4" & 1-5/8" x 3-7/8"
Designer Paper: 5" x 3-3/4"
Card #2 also inspired by Kim
Measurements:
Very Vanilla Thick - 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" scored at 4-1/4 & 7/8" x 4"
Night of Navy - 1-1/16" x 4"
Designer Paper - 4" x 5-1/4"

Card #3 shows that this product line does not need to be ONLY for baseball themed cards - this card was inspired by Glenda Calkins. This card will be featured at a Tuesday class and they will vary in color
Card #4 takes advantage of all the tags from the designer paper and they are super easy to cut out using the coordinating dies. This card was also inspired by Kim
Measurements:
Night of Navy base: 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" scored at 4-1/4"
Designer Paper - 4" x 5-1/4"
Very Vanilla - 1-1/2" x 5-1/4"
The ribbon is a retired combo pack from Playful Pets, but any Real Red Ribbon will work
Card #5 was inspired by Sue, but I changed it up a bit by using a different piece of designer paper, and I added the little tag with stars and a circle punched from the designer paper with a 1-1/4" punch (retired)
I will just share that I added the red tag because I had a blemish on my card and I needed to cover it up :)
I always say that there are no mistakes in stamping, just an opportunity for embellishment!

Measurements:
Base: Very Vanilla Thick5-1/2" x 8-1/2" scored at 4-1/4"
Designer Paper: 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" for the base & 4-1/4" x 3"
Real Red - 4-3/8" x 3-1/8"
The Resin Stars Embellishments you see on the cards are a part of the Hey Sports Fan Suite
Card #6 was inspired by Christine
Measurements:
Very Vanilla Thick base - 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" score at 4-1/4" & 1/2" strip for the happy birthday strip
Evening Evergreen: 4" x 5-1/4"
Designer Paper: 3-3/4" x 5" (yellow with stars), 1-1/2" x 4-1/4" (evergreen with balls) & 3/4" x 4" (red stripe)
Card #7 was inspired by Joyce
Night of Navy card base - 5-1/2" x 8-1/2"
Real Red - 5-3/8" x 4-1/8"
Designer Paper - 5-1/4" x 4"
Very Vanilla - 3-1/2" x 2"

I hope the measurements are helpful. Not a one of the demonstrators that I mentioned shared the measurements on their blog posts and I know how helpful it is

Baseball Punch Art

Monday, April 11, 2016
Today is our daughter's birthday!! Happy Birthday, Sweet Julie!!  Julie is the mother to 2 of our grand kids (Tyler and Gracie)!  I'm sure you have heard me brag on her before, but you can never tell your kids that you love them often enough.  Julie is a Black Belt in karate and she also started teaching the younger kids in weapons defense as well as some women's defense classes.  She absolutely loves it and we are so proud of the strong women she has become.  Julie's other love is baseball.  Not any baseball - Julie loves the Detroit Tigers baseball!!  When I saw this baseball punch art I knew I had to make it for her.
Happy Birthday Julie - We love you!!
Mom and Dad!!

April in the D - Go Tigers!

Wednesday, April 2, 2014
Opening day of baseball was last Monday, March 31st!!  Go TIGERS!!  I was hoping to post a baseball theme card on Monday, but there was too much other news that I had to get in because of all the last day specials that I didn't want you to miss.  Therefore... today I will post my baseball theme card (inspired by Stasia Sloma - sorry Stasia does not have a blog for me to link to)

It uses 2 of my all time favorite sport stamps JUST BASEBALL and SPORTING.  The colors Pumpkin Pie and Night of Navy are Detroit Tiger colors with a splash of red for the stitching that is on a baseball!!

It's April in the

Have you been anxiously waiting to see who the winner of the March blog candy is?

June Cakes

Friday, July 1, 2011
Not only did we have a busy month with packing up 11 years of living in the big house
and moving to the condo, and now working at remodeling,
I also had five cakes to make during June.
It's amazing how it all worked out and the scheduling of them fit right in the cracks of time I had.

CAKE # 1

This baseball cake was for Nathan, a boy at our church.
Sure does look like he had a fun birthday party.

CAKE #2

This cute little frog was for 2 year old Peter from our church.

CAKE #3

For a guy at our church who is a big University of Michigan fan
Jeff loves sports of all kinds but is especially fond of football

Check out the solid chocolate footballs that I molded for each side and the top.

CAKE # 4 and #5

Parent/Child Dedication cakes for church.
Dale and I are the host and hostess for the reception following the Parent/Child Dedication service. This time there was 11 children from 8 different families and 76 guests at the reception.

Thanks for checking out my cake blog!

Have a Sweet Day!!

Baseball

Tuesday, June 28, 2011
Baseball season has been in full swing for a couple months now and as a family we enjoy watching the Detroit Tigers play. In fact, we have plans to go to a game next month. This year Tyler is in his second year of machine pitch and Gracie is in her first year of tee ball. When their season began I made these cards for the kids to wish them a fun and successful season.

Then one day Charlie and Caleb both came to Auntie's with baseball themed shirts on...

When the kid's season came to an end Julie asked me to make thank you cards for their coaches.

I love having cards on hand. All I had to do was change out the "grand son" to "coach"

For Gracie's coach I made a card that had her team color (orange) and added pink hats and bats. Silly me, I forgot to take a picture of it.

Tyler and Gracie are already looking forward to next years season.

Have a Blessed Day!!

Shiner Bear!

Thursday, July 15, 2010
My 8 year old nephew “took a ball” to the eye during a little league game and came home with a nasty shiner.  When I saw his photo on facebook I just couldn’t resist making him this get well card.  I could just hear the crowd saying “Way to go, Noah!!”

Little League Season

Tuesday, June 15, 2010
This is Tyler’s first year to play machine pitch baseball for Little League. He had a pretty good hitting season over all, and his favorite thing to do is run the bases (that was his Uncle Jeff’s and Uncle Joey’s favorite thing too), but it seemed like he could get ON base but no one could hit him in – frustrating, but so much fun to watch him and his team mates play.

tyler bb 1 tyler bb 10 tyler bb 9 tyler bb 8 Now that the season is over I made a couple thank you notes for Tyler to give to his two coaches for all the fun and instructions and all their dedicated time spent with these boys. Coaches Rock!!!

Baseball Bear
And thanks, too, to DOstampingwithDawn for this cute idea.

MENU:
SS: Just Baseball (retiring this month)
INK: Real Red, Brilliant Blue
CS: Real Red, WW, Chocolate Chip, Brilliant Blue, Creamy Caramel
Accessories: Build A Bear Die (bear) and Beary Essentials Die (clothes) And this is the cake I made for Tyler to bring to his after season party.

So For Now…
Thanks Coach!!(es)
