Happy Valentine's Day!

What will you do today to celebrate Valentine's Day?
Our plans are for dinner out at Red Lobster to celebrate Dale's birthday and then a movie to celebrate Valentine's Day!  I'm so thankful that Dale can take his birthday off work so we can spend the day together, and I am so thankful that he doesn't mind carting me around in the wheelchair.  I sure got one of the best ones, ladies!!
Today I will share with you the Valentine Card that I made for my Team Members - as you have heard me proclaim - I appreciate them all so much and we are thrilled to welcome 3 new members to Christi's Creative Crew!

 I pulled out an old time favorite TOTALLY TESS stamp set because it is perfect for the gals on my team, but I teamed it up with the SENDING WITH LOVE  Designer Paper Pack and the  SEALED WITH LOVE Stamp Set to decorate the flap of the envelope

Totally Tess

This is a Throw Back Thursday kind of post.  I am using the TOTALLY TESS stamp set for Melissa's week #4 of her birth-month.

Carrot Cake cupcakes again with the cream cheese frosting (her favorite)! My intention was to make up the candy witch fingers and have one sticking out of each cupcake but time got away from me and it didn't get done

 After gift delivery I went to spend some time with our little man, Sawyer

He was very awake today and he is more vocal and will give out the cutest laugh.  It's been 9 days since I saw him last and he was quite afraid, looking around for mom and crying the saddest little cry of fear,  He'll get used to me but for right now I will take what I can get.  So fun to have a baby in the family again.

Tess the Graduate

This is a side step card for a special graduate who is having her open house today.  Congratulations Alyssa, best wishes and prayers for your future.

And these are the cakes that I (we) made for her open house.  

 Alyssa will be attending Cornerstone College here in rand Rapids and will be playing tennis there so she wanted a tennis themed cake.
And I said "we" earlier because this is Cherie who came and helped me decorate the cakes.  She was  a huge help and as you can see she washed up all the dishes - HUGE!! Thank you Cherie!!  It was fun bouncing ideas off her, and I look forward to next Friday if she can come again for the next decorating session.

 These fun cupcakes designed like a wedding dress is for my gal, Val, who is getting married in June.
She will make a beautiful bride

First Day of School

At the beginning of the school year I like to make a card and maybe even a little treat for Tyler and Gracie to give their teachers for the first day of school and this year is no different, but you will have to wait just a bit for what I chose to make for them to give their teachers.

The cards I have here are ones I made for my little nieces and nephews to give to their teachers. If you read my blog yesterday you saw pictures of my nieces and nephews that I don't get to see very often as they live so very far away. I thought it would be fun to make a card for them to give to their teachers on the first day of school.

Little Maggie and Breanna are both in a Pre-School/Day Care situation so I thought this card with the three little friends was perfect for them. The little dresses are made from the stamp set AWASH WITH FLOWERS and was inspired by a card I saw made by Laurie LaRose on the Stampin' Connection.

This next card was made for the two little boys Nathan (1st grade) and Noah (3rd grade). Noah stayed back in New Jersey with his Papa, but we enjoyed getting to know Nathan. Nathan's mom told me a cute story about how Nathan was moved up to 1st grade - just to meet the teacher, etc. at the end of last school year. He was quite apprehensive about moving up and preferred to stay back in kindergarten with the teacher he had. After he spent that time with the new teacher his mom asked him how it went and if he was ready to go to the new class with the new teacher. His response was "yeah, she's pretty good looking." How funny, at 6 years old he had determined it was okay to have to look at this teacher all day. I thought how appropriate it was to use TOTALLY TESS as the "good looking" school teacher.

After I hold a workshop I like to send a Thank You card to each of the ladies who attend the class. I usually put a note inside without writing on the inside of the card so that she has a card to share with someone else and she has a new layout design to use in her own card making. This card I made specifically for the hostess.

Red Hot Swap

Glenda invited her full down line to share in a New Catalog Swap.

These are fun to do, but I wasn't sure if I had the time to fit one more
thing into a full schedule, but when I borrowed the Totally Tess Stamp Set
from my friend Marla I thought it would be perfect to use this stamp set for my Swap Card.

I'm liking how it turned out.
The bonus to this card it that they not only got a card, but a book mark too.
The Totally Tess portion of the card is a magnetic book mark, my favorite kind!
I also had a chance to use my new Stamp Set called

for taking the classes that they offered.
