Sentimental Sunday

Sunday, May 3, 2026

It has been one year since our sweet Everleigh Hope was ushered into the arms of Jesus without ever taking a single breath here on earth.

How can you miss someone so much when you never even had a chance to meet them? Our hearts still ache for the grand daughter we will never know, but we have the confidence that we will meet her someday in heaven.

When I think of her, I picture her walking with Jesus, totally whole.

Our children are doing well, but she is always in their thoughts. Jeff is taking off work a day so that they can celebrate Everleigh's birthday together as a family. Lily & Mercy said that for sure they needed to bake cupcakes.

I made this card for them in memory of Everleigh Hope
They had pink bunny (stuffy) that they called Everleigh's bunny so I thought that the cute little bunny from Notes Of Spring would be a perfect fit. This card was inspired by Angie and she used the little deer from that same stamp set.
Also used Scalloped Blooms Dies, Stylish Shapes Dies, Extraordinary Flora Stamp Set, Cute As A Bug Designer Paper.

So this is what is on my heart today as we remember this difficult time that we walked through one year ago.

Sentimental Sunday

Saturday, June 28, 2025

My Sentimental Sunday post today is all about PUPPIES!!

For the past 8 weeks we have been raising 4 little puppies from our Tori's 3rd litter and this past Thursday they all went to their forever homes

Our friends bought Goldie who they renamed MUFFIN

She has been wanting a puppy for so long and now her dream has come true! Muffin did so well her first night sleeping ALL night - only getting up when she got her up at 6am. She has also wrapped her little paws around her new daddy's heart.

Snoopy was bought by my friend, Jodie who was also on my Stampin' Up! team for many years.
She said he is doing so very well and enjoying his new home.
Repeat "customers" bought Rosie who they renamed SADIE. Sadie gets to live with one of our Lucy's puppies. What a great heart for these little ShihTzu's they have. Their grandson had to stay overnight because he couldn't wait to see the newest addition to their family.
Bear was bought by a new friend...and he has a new name too. He is called Leo.
She couldn't wait to get him home after losing their little Jax earlier.
I spent some extra time with each one giving them their belly rubs, which they loved so much. I said my "good-byes" knowing that this will be our last litter of puppies.
                                                                 Leo was our largest puppy
Sadie was our smallest puppy, and the mildest tempered of them all
Snoopy was everyones favorite for his coloring and name and the only one to keep the name we gave him
Muffin was the absolute sweetheart, but could really tussle with he brothers and sisters! We loved her brown spots the best.
They all had their shots on Monday
Giving Sadie some love after her shot, but she was the bravest of them all

It is so hard to get a good photo of all 4 of them together. I was saying that I thought it would be easier to get a herd of elephants together than to get 4 energetic puppies to cooperate. this is the photo I chose to put on our wall by our other puppy pictures.
I have an app called PHOTO TILES where I can get a free 8x8 inch premium photo tile every month. All I do is pay the shipping (About $8-$9). They come with adhesive tabs to apply to your wall and they never make a mark even when you need to take them down.
The new photo will fill the gap you see here
Left to right - top row - Lucy's first litter, Lucy's third litter, Lucy's second litter
Bottom row - Lucy's fourth litter and then Lucy with our sweet Katy who we lost this past January
The empty spot had a photo of Lucy, Katy and Tori at Christmas when Tori was a puppy. It released from the wall and we decide to switch it out with this newest photo coming soon.

It's been a long 8 weeks especially since Tori actually had 6 puppies and we lost two. When the last one passed, we said "this is enough". We also have had the busiest spring ever and had to get puppy-sitters so we could go to funerals.

Maybe next year we will actually be able to take a trip together.

Want in on a good deal from me?
When I went to North Carolina in March, where I (plus 3 of my team members) attended the OnStage yearly Stampin' Up! event, I was encouraged and challenged all at the same time because we learned about some changes that Stampin' Up! is making.

The challenge that I came away with for myself is to reach my $300,000 in sales by the end of September.
If I do I will get to walk the stage and be recognized for this accomplishment at the 2026 OnStage event in Long Beach, CA (not that I really like walking the stage, but it really is an accomplishment)

What does this mean for you, and why am I telling you this?
I will need to increase my sales each month and that is where you come in
I am asking you to place your orders with me, and in return I will offer you the listed price of all products.

If you place your order (after April 15th) online you will start receiving a 10% reward on all orders $20 or more, that you can claim on your next order (this all starts April 15th) - therefore, I cannot offer the catalog price. BUT... if you order with me directly I am able to offer you this discount. (I have no control over the online orders)

BUT... I will reward your order according to the amount you order with a product that I will ship to you. (an embellishment, ribbon, etc.) I cannot list what it will be because of the fact that items go on the unorderable list, etc.

For example... If you place an online order of $75.00 I will send you a product valued at $7.50

If you order directly from me I can issue you the discount immediately.

ALL ORDERS will help me achieve this goal

This is how the new rewards program will work:
You can accumulate your rewards for a full 12 months and then you will have some extra "cash" to buy more product!!
Whatever rewards you earn on your purchase can also be redeemed on your next order, you do not need to accumulate!

I still ask that you will please choose me as your Stampin' Up! demonstrator as this will still help out my small business

    Thank you so very much!

Sentimental Sunday

Saturday, May 24, 2025

Last week Monday, my sweet hubby, Dale, did a selfless act of donating a kidney to someone who desperately needed it.

It all started about 6 months ago when our friend was finally put on the list to receive a new kidney. He had been living without any kidneys for a couple years, taking dialysis every night while he slept.

After months of testing and appointments, Dale was a match, but before we got to the final step, our friend received a kidney from someone who passed away in a car accident.

Dale thought that he would just stop the process, but in his own words he said that his soul just wouldn't rest, and that he felt the Lord leading him to continue because there was someone out there that needed a kidney.

What we found out during our 10-12 hours of appointments (in one day) that there are 90,000+ people just waiting for a kidney (any many never get one). According to the kidney donor site 11 people die every day just waiting for a kidney.

By the sovereign grace and providence of God, Dale was a match for our friends, friend who also needed a kidney.

One week prior to the surgery, Dale was able to meet him and spend some time in prayer with him and his wife. What a blessing this whole process has been. We praise God for His Miraculous works!

Dale came through surgery with flying colors (I knew that he would) but there is still a long recovery. The hardest part will be the weight restriction for 8 full weeks, and no driving for three weeks. (not to speak of the pain he is having at the beginning stages of healing)

We are thankful for our sweet neighbor who is taking care of our lawn, and countless others who have surrounded us in prayer.

To say that I am proud of him, barely scratches the surface! This selfless act REALLY shows his character and his reliance on the Lord.

The morning after his surgery, a team made up of a nurse, social worker, financial coordinator and pharmacist came to talk with us.

He was gifted with several meaningful gifts, some kind and appreciative words, and information that he will need (for the rest of his life). Yes, he will have limitations because he will be living with only one kidney, but he also gave the gift of more years to this man who will be able to enjoy watching his grandchildren grow up,

This guys wife brought Dale some beautiful Irises to cheer him up,

and when I got home this picture was on my Facebook page

Isn't it just like God to coordinate simple things like this??!!

It was so good to bring him home less than 48 hours later

The little green "pillow" is kidney shaped, and on that kidney is the number that represents what number Dale is since they started live kidney donations. He is #1,215
The team signed it, and then all his visitors signed it, and his recipient wrote him an amazing tribute on it. This will be a keeper. (it also makes a nice neck pillow!!) LOL!!

Sentimental Sunday

Last week Monday night we had the memorial service for our granddaughter, Everleigh Hope.

So hard and yet such a precious a time.

Jessica framed the photos that were taken in the hospital by NOW I LAY ME DOWN TO SLEEP.

She asked me if I had some flowers either in punches, dies or stamps that she could dress up the plain white frames for the memorial service (and I am sure they will have a space on their wall to display them)

The Impressions Ablooms Dies were perfect for this, and it was exactly what Jessica wanted/envisioned.

So you see...Stampin' Up! products are not just for card making.

The memorial service was very God honoring, and we pray that even though Everleigh never breathed a single breath, her life still mattered and that other lives will be changed because of it.
