Halloween Treat and Baby's First

 Another Halloween card and a treat - these two were also out at the National Card Making Day

This is a treat that I have made before to sell at the local craft sales, but between Dale's soap making business and my Stampin' Up! business, we are too busy to participate in craft sales. It was always a LOT of work, and truthfully, I am pleased, but I thought for National Card Making Day it would be fun to put some treats out. 

The cute little bat (way cuter than the ones in real life) is made from the Owl Punch and 1-3/8" circle punch for the wings. The branch is from the Bird Builder Punch. All the edges were sponged with some Craft White Ink and the smile was made using a chalk marker.

This was a fun card using two different stamp sets that both coordinate with the same die set. Merry Cafe' and Coffee Cafe', but I did grab the "steam" from Scentsational Season and the bat & spiderwebs from Home Sweet Home.

I saw the little 3D spiders at the local craft shop and thought they would be a great addition.

I didn't have a stripe designer paper so created my own with a chalk marker and a ruler.

I understand that I used retired products and some non Stampin' Up! products, but perhaps you have these items in your stamp collection and it is fun to pull out some old favorites. 

I took this same card but changed it up to make a Halloween card for Liam. He is nearly one year old - born just after Halloween last year so this is his first Halloween and it will be fun to send it to him.

Another Scentsational Season

This two cup hot cocoa card was inspired by Christine Blain and it uses the Designer Paper Festival of Prints along with the stamp set Scentsational Season and Tags Til Christmas.  I love the look of the little "coasters" made with the Scallop Oval Punch and the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  I have totally fallen in love with the Gumball Green In-Color for 2012-14.  I'm so glad it is sticking around for two full years.  The Gumball Green Stitched Ribbon is so soft too and easy to use.

Now, I think I will go sit down with a book and a mug of steaming hot cocoa on a cold wintery day - What's your favorite flavor?  Mine is the White Chocolate.

Oh, wait...I love the regular milk chocolate and then I melt a soft candy cane stick in it.
Yeah - that's it!  

Oh, wait...I really like the milk chocolate with raspberry flavoring!

Yummmm....Now which one do I pick today??!!

Oh Wait... Well, I guess I just love them all - as long as there is no hint of coffee flavor - that would just totally ruin a good cup of hot cocoa

Scentsational Season

 I loved this cute idea of wrapping the mittens around the mug of hot cocoa So when my hair dresser mentioned she was looking for an idea for masculine teacher gifts and was planning to make homemade hot cocoa, I made up a tag for her to put with her gift.  The little reindeer on the mittens were stamped in Versa Mark and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder.  The Stamp Set is called Joyous Celebrations.  The Mug, Steam and Candy Cane is from the stamp set Scentsational Season Both sets are available in the Holiday Mini which is still good through January 2, 2013.

Want to know how I got the hot cocoa chocolate color?

I inked up my stamp with Gumball Green then using a QTip.

I wiped off just the beverage area and re inked that spot with an Early Espresso marker.

Using my Exacto Knife I sliced a line and slid the steam and candy cane stick into it, securing it on the back with some tape.

One week ago I had a blast! Just a ton of fun when my pen pal came to spend the day and we basically played stamped all day!  Becky is a new Stampin' Up! demonstrator and had a lot of questions.  Once I (hopefully) answered all her questions we wanted to get our hands "inky".  I suggested she try our Sketch Challenges.  I am so pleased with how well she did.

For The Teacher

Today the kids will all be going back to school and the Fall Season has 

officially begun with Craft Sales and Fall Programs at Church.

Where has the Summer gone??

This is a project that I made (inspired by Penny Smiley in Australia)
to sell at the Craft Sales this Fall using 

some retired Designer Paper called BERRY BLOSSOMS.

When I was making the 3x3 note cards up I ended up with one extra one
BUMMER!
Oh well, I gave it to Kimberly and when she came over for a play day with
her mom, Rachel, went to work on my challenge for her.  She loved
it that she had full access to all my stamps and supplies.
This is what Kimberly came up with for her 3x3...

Stamp A Stack Class

Saturday, September 8th, 10AM, OR Wednesday, September 12th, 10 AM OR Thursday, September 13th, 7PM
Do you need a stack of cards for all occasions? This is the class for you! In this class you will be making 8 different All Occasion Cards and featuring some BRAND NEW stamps and accessories from the NEW HOLIDAY CATALOG! The cost is $12.00 or FREE with an order of $50.00 or more (before S&H and tax)
Please bring your adhesive along to this class.

Please RSVP by 7:00 PM the evening before any class

Frequent Stamper Incentive! Starting with the NEW Catalog, June 2012 I will have a punch card system. For every $50 you spend you receive one punch. Get 10 punches and receive a FREE Stamp Set valued at $25.95 or less (or you can pay the difference.) September 8^th, 2:00 PM

Do you need to get a jump-start on your Christmas Card making?

This class begins in August and goes through December

We will make 3 each of 4 designs.

The club will meet the 2nd Saturday of each month at 2 PM.

The cost for this class is $20.00.

In the event a Stamp A Stack Class is on that same day you can come to the 10:00 AM Stamp A Stack Class and stay for the 2:00 Christmas Card Class.

There will be a short period there where you can pop out for lunch or bring a sack lunch with you and make a fun day of it!!

PUNCH ART CLASS is Monday, September 17th at 7:00 PM or Wednesday, 

September 19th at 10:00 AM. 

Here are the details for that class

*We began a Punch Art Class in August that will go through December.

Each Month, for 5 months, we will make 4 Punch Art items.

You will create a card and a How-To page for each Punch Art item that you can keep in an 8x8 album. If you come to all 5 classes you will have 20 new Punch Art ideas.

For each class the cost is $12.00.
Please bring your adhesive along to this class.
