Another Special Order:
So thankful for the special orders that come my way, and this is also why I keep my trusty favorite stamps on hand like this one called NOBLE DEER. Special order request was for a card for a deer hunter and this one was perfect (inspired by Pinterest)

Second special order card was for a golfer. She remembered me making a golf cart years ago and asked me to duplicate it. The golfer turns 13 therefore the 13th hole flag.

Personal update: the pain blocker wore off about noon yesterday...OUCH!! Thankful that I have hand work to do to keep my mind off the pain. I'm sure each day will get better, I see the Dr this afternoon for my post op. - Thanks for all your prayers on my behalf.

Seattle Sea Hawks!!

Our Youth Pastor celebrated his birthday on Sunday and he is a Seattle Sea Hawks fan. Not just a fan, his father played for the Sea Hawks when Keoni was a growing up. I thought this card (inspired by Cindi Copeland) would be perfect for him.

This was a quick and easy card and great for a football fan. Because of the Sea Hawk team colors I needed to dig into some retired Gumball Green Card Stock. I started with the largest Oval Framelit then "tweeked" it to get the football shape. Then I threaded White Bakers Twine though for the stitching. Attach it to the layer using the Brick Wall Embossing Folder. The HAPPY BIRTHDAY greeting is from FROM THE HERD (retired).

Here is a handy tip for threading through small holes: (I pierced the holes with the Paper Piercer) then used a threader that is found in the dental care aisle which is intended for threading floss for a dental bridge. These are super flexible and work perfectly for situations like this or when threading buttons, etc.

Happy Belated Birthday - From the Herd!

This past week has been super, super fun being with all my sisters, but when Lynette comes to visit everything else goes on the back burner. On a daily basis I send out birthday greetings to people in our church via email or facebook, but this week I missed a few and had to play catch-up and send out Happy Belated Birthday greetings instead.
I love the FROM THE HERD stamp set - it is fun, cute, clever and makes me laugh. This card is one that will be out for all of you to make at my COME STAMP WITH ME Tuesday class coming up on the 14th at 10:00 am, so I guess you can call this a preview.

This card was made using the CIRCLE CARD THINLIT along with the FROM THE HERD stamp set.

At last month's team meeting I challenged all my girls to make a graduation card. The catalog does not have a set Graduation theme stamp set but woven throughout the catalogs are stamp sets that include "congratulations" or "way to go", etc. I wanted them to bring them to the down line meeting at Glenda's when we met last week. I was so happy with how many participated. Thanks gals!!
Marlane used a Wedding Theme stamp set with the "Congrats" called YOUR PERFECT DAY and masked off the words "to you two" and added "from the herd" from the same stamp set. Aren't these animals so cute!

on the inside she used GIGGLE GREETINGS - how fun!

Carla made this pretty card using the stamp set BRAVO and combined it with the BIRTHDAY BASH Specialty Paper. Specialty because it has embossed gold confetti!

Looks like Sue and Carla had similar ideas by using the same paper and stamp set but achieving a totally different look. I love them both!

Lynda couldn't join us at the meeting but she dropped her card off anyway, and I am so glad she did because I love this card too! She used the stamp sets WORK OF ART, GORGEOUS GRUNGE and TEENY TINY WISHES

Inez is new to our group and she jumped right in on this challenge. What a fun step card, and I love the little wise owl. Inez used the stamp set CLASS OF 2015, CRAZY ABOUT YOU, and a SAB set SIMPLY WONDERFUL

She was even so sweet and added a note with her "recipe"

This week was Card Club Week! We meet the third Monday of each month and I am extremely thankful for the ladies that have committed to come to this class each month. One of the sweet gals in Card Club has been EXTREMELY sick and has had to bow out of the class. Normally I would not allow this, but this is an unavoidable situation so I agreed to place an order on her behalf so my hostess does not miss out. I made up this card using the FROM THE HERD stamp set so all the ladies could sign it when they came and I would mail it out to her. I used a layout from Diana Gibbs and the color combo from France Martin and came up with this one...

I think this animals are so darn cute, don't you!
Hope this card brightened her day!

Today's spotlight on a new stamp set is the FROM THE HERD stamp set. What a fun stamp set and the words are so cute. I'm using the FREE designer paper called BEST YEAR EVER from the Sale a bration brochure.
