Baby Shower gift

Saturday, July 10, 2010

Last night I was able to attend a baby shower for my friend, Jan’s, daughter, Lauryn. What fun it is to celebrate a new life coming into the world. This is the gift I made to give to her.Lauryn's bay gift Lauryn's baby gift tees Lauryns baby gift. cards This little “bag–in-a-box” held 12 baby thank you notes for Lauryn to send out to her friends and family. Thanks goes out to the Stampin’ Up! demonstrator website for the onesie belly band idea and to Amy Klemo for the card inspiration. I’m not sure who first came out with the bag-in-a-box idea, but I have seen, and made several over the course of the last few years. I used the new Baby Bundle Stamp Set and the Baby Tees Jumbo Wheel to make this little ensemble.Baby Tees 2 It is so hard to see on this photo but I wanted the Early Espresso circles, and the Marina Mist circles to have a tone on tone texture so I stamped them with the hydrangea stamp from the new Just Because I Care Hostess level 1 stamp set. It gave them just the right look that I wanted without looking like a flower.

Then I put it all together in another one of my rag bags…baby rag bag

Thank you

I just wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU to Sue and Marla who helped me out at my very first open house Thursday night.  What a BIG help they were showing the ladies the new embossing folders and making the Fancy Favor Boxes.  I couldn’t have done it without you!! You guys are the BEST!!

As a thank you I let them pick one of the rag bags that I made.  Marla chose this Music themed one   DSCF0003 and Sue chose a beautiful flowered one with a brown background and earthy toned flowers.  I didn’t even get a chance to take a picture of the one Sue chose, but here is a small version just so you can see the fabric. DSCF0002 I also made these bookmarks for them that show the 10 new colors that Stampin’ Up! came out with in the new catalog. new color bookmarks You may have noticed that the Grand Prize Door Prize winner had one in her rag bag too.  Then what good is a stamper without a new stamp set? So they each were able to pick one stamp set from my basket.  I hope they had as much fun as I did.
