WEEKLY DEALS and My Favorites!

I was so excited to get the WEEKLY DEALS this week!  WHY?  Because when they coincide with cards that we are making at class it is always a bonus!
First of all here are the WEEKLY DEALS

And this is just one of the beautiful cards that we are making at the Stamp a Stack Classes this week.

This card (inspired by Chat W) uses the Color Me Irresistible Designer Specialty Paper.  The beauty of this paper is that it comes in 6 different colors BUT WAIT - THERE'S MORE.  It also comes with 6 WHITE, Pre-embossed 12 x 12 sheets so you can make it any color you want!  For this one I smooshed it with Black Memento Ink then rubbed with a paper towel to bring out the white dots!! Pretty cool, huh!!??

Beautiful Butterflies and Weekly Deals

This is one of the cards that I was prepping for an upcoming Stamp a Stack class

and after cutting out all the big beautiful butterflies I ended up with this negative piece

so after seeing the WEEKLY DEALS posted this morning I thought maybe, just maybe, I should find some coordinating Designer Paper to the Bermuda Bay I used for the Butterfly.  I'm glad I hang on to my retired paper for times such as this

Birthday Bash Designer Paper worked perfectly and I had enough left over to make this as a Tuesday COME STAMP WITH ME card for another week!!  I love it when it all falls together.

Happy Healing

Yesterday one the gals at church had surgery to repair a torn achilles tendon.  The injury happened last week, but what a trouper she is!  As you may have see in a previous post our church hosted the Annie Moses Band and our choir backed them up.  Anna wasn't going to let a "little" injury stop her from participating so there she sat on a stool with her crutches nearby to sing and worship.

You might recognize her from a previous post this summer when she sang at our talent night

I knew that I needed to make Anna a special get well card and since she is from Haiti I used the Chocolate Chip Card Stock for the injured leg.

I liked it so much so I made some more for the store

I was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest, all I needed to do was change up the color scheme and the stamp choice.

Get it?! CELE-BR-8 !! This cute little octopus, of course, has 8 tentacles!!  What a fun birthday card for any age.  I was inspired by a card made by Mary Brown.

Yes, the fussy cutting of the octopus is that hardest part of this card, but sometimes you just need to take a little time to do it because it just wouldn't be as cute (on this card) if it wasn't cut out.
