Leaves of Holly

Can you tell I am loving the Leaves of Holly Stamp Set and Holly Berry Dies?

I also love the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder. 

Card Base is Mossy Melody and the embossed layer is Basic White, however I did sponge some Crumb Cake over the raised area to give it a little highlight.

There is a little bit of the Gold & Vanilla 3/8" Ribbon in there and I am so glad that it is being carried over. However, the Leaves of Holly Stamp Set and Holly Berry Dies ARE on the Last Chance List.

This second card was inspired by Dawn Griffiths

This card also uses the Christmas Pinecone Dies

When you cut out the detailed piece you get this...

And then I cut it apart like Dawn showed

Now, Dawn cut the second piece apart and used for her cards in the mail, but I didn't like them nearly as well, you will see what I used the second section for in a future post. the Christmas Pinecones Dies are in the Annual Catalog so they will be current through April 2023.

Beautiful Christmas Cards

Today is the last day to view my OnStage Swap videos, make a comment, and get your name in the drawing for the beautiful swag bag/purse

I can't wait to pick a name from my little bucket of names.

Hoping to do a video to show the winner and then - oh yes - a reveal of the new products that came in my preorder from the new January to April Mini Catalog and the Sale a bration brochure (January 5 through February 28).

I guess I'm getting pretty brave.

Our cards for today were cased by two of my favorite demonstrators to watch

Brandy Cox made this card in one of her 20 cards in 20 minutes

Don't be fooled though - she had everything prepped, but she does show how she stamped the greenery

The main stamp set is Merriest Moments (a carry over from last year, but NOT carrying over to next year)

The sentiment is from Brightest Glow. (Brightest Glow Stamp Set WILL carry over!!)

What I changed up: I made a border of the sparkling green specialty paper (only because I made a cutting oops on my Basic White) and Brandy used some gold ribbon behind the large flower where I used the little gold leaves (that will be on the retiring list tomorrow)

I had just a few of these left so was able to make a total of 2 of these cards for friends from church.

Card #2 is inspired by Dawn Griffiths

I am running out of some of my products from the July-December Mini, and I see that these Textural Elements WILL carry over to the next catalog.

I love the layout of this card, and everything IS CURRENT at this point. The Last Chance List (retiring products) will be out tomorrow so stay tuned for that.

Christmas Cards

Let's share some Christmas Cards

Card #1 was inspired by Jan Musselman

What I used: Perched In a Tree

The colors on the bird are Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and Cajun Craze (this part is a little too dark for me, but it still works. 

What I changed: The card base color I switched to Soft Suede, I changed up the sentiment and fussy cut around it. Jan used some retired On The Horizon DSP but I had some other retired DSP with a Pool Party color palette that I wanted to use up.

Card #2 was inspired by Judy May, and I pretty much cased her card exactly. I offered two of the designs from Lights Aglow 6x6 paper stack. As I am looking this up for you - it must be sold out and unavailable. Such beautiful paper, I guess I'm not surprised.

Christmas Cards - Ready To Go!

Are you a "Black Friday Shopper?"

It's a BIG NO for me!!

My habits after Thanksgiving is to get all of my Christmas cards ready for the mail, and to hand deliver to the church mailboxes.

Next up is to pull out the Christmas tree from the attic and get the lights on it. Do a little decorating around the house, but the ornaments will wait until the grand kids can come to put them on with us. 

Each year we buy them a new ornament that goes on our tree. We save them here for each year, and when they grow up and get a place of their own, they will get to take them all with them.

The fun part is watching our older grands - each year the ornaments get higher on the tree, and they like to put them on in order of the year that they got them, and remember what they did that year. This year they will all receive ornaments that we purchased on our trip to St Simons Island.

This is the Christmas card that I made for 2 year old Liam using the Santa Designer Paper. I'm not a huge Santa fan, but I thought that he would like it.

This year might look a little different because I am recovering from pneumonia. Sure does put a cramp in your style when you get side-lined.

When Your Sister Asks...

When your sister asks you to make some Christmas cards for each of her grandkids...

Three granddaughters and four grandsons (just like us!!)

This first one was a swap from our OnStage event - one of my top favorites and she has one granddaughter that loves to bake so thought she would like the gingerbread house.

They all live scattered from Arizona to Nova Scotia and in between.

Card #2 was inspired by Susan Campfield

And a big stretch of ages. Card #3 was inspired by Patty Bennett

For the boys I pulled out some retired designer paper that was FREE during a previous Sale a bration to make all of the cards for the boys.

Card #4 is a remake of one I did HERE

Card #5 was a new take on a card I did HERE

Card #6 was inspired by Tarabeth

Card #7 was inspired by a layout design - it's super easy to do...

Card Base is 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 (or your could make it 11" x 4-1/4")

Layer number 2 is 4" x 5-1/4" cut on the diagonal

Layer number 3 is 3-3/4" x 5" cut on the diagonal.

I chose the snowflake dies from CHIC DIES but depending on your designer paper you could use butterflies or flowers - whichever fits the design.
