I used the retired Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set and Go To Greetings.

Using my ruler and a Stampin' Write Marker to mark the edges, and the gold sequins from Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequin Pack for a little bling.

Happy Birthday Month!!

MARCH!! Can you believe it??

And tomorrow is my birthday!! When I was a little girl, my dad would call me "Sunshine", and then my mom would burst into song (she did that on many occasions) with "you are my sunshine, my only sunshine..."

The ladies will be making this card at an upcoming Tuesday class.

I used some retired designer paper that had Crushed Curry for the sunflower, then Crushed Curry for the base and the detailed part of the sunflower.

HIVE embossing folder is what I used for the Basic White layer, and Granny Apple 

Green card stock for the two layers of the leaves. I tried the leaves with another print pattern but it just did not look good. So I embossed the bottom/flat part of the leaf to give it more texture. Kind of hard to see on this photo, but trust me, it really does make a difference. A few Champagne Rhinestones set it off nice. The "birthday wishes" is from BEST FAMILY EVER, and the SUNFLOWER DIES, of course.

Celebrate Sunflowers in Jade

 This is one of the cards that the stampers will be making at my Tuesday class tomorrow.

So pretty, inspired by Anne Matasci

While we were at the Stampin' Up! OnStage this weekend we were given Timeless Greetings Kits to assemble at our tables.

I think that these will be exceptionally nice for graduation, but we are all looking for masculine cards and these are perfect!

Pink Sunflowers?

I was on another rabbit trail again - at least this trail was a little shorter than that last one. I decided to work with the Awash in Beauty designer paper, and made this card for one of my upcoming Tuesday classes. This one was inspired by Sue Campfield

I had a bunch of strips left over and then remembered a layout from Ruth Trice, a demonstrator from Wales, that Inez and I met when we went to New Orleans for BackStage.

This was her card - she made her flower with the ladybug punch!!

The strips that were on the flip side of the designer paper I used on my first card were blushing bride with a white grid print.

I cut my strips 1/4" wide and placed them on the front a little closer than Ruth's.

Then I just needed to come up with a flower, and I did not want to make the flower with the ladybug punch. 

I cut the blushing bride piece from the back side of one of the patterns in the Awash in Beauty 

DSP, topped it with black, and added leaves of Granny Apple Green. 

I thought it needed a little "bling" so I added some Iridescent Pearls.

Measurements:

Basic Black: 3-3/4" x 5" embossed with TIMBER Embossing Folder

Basic Black 3-7/8" x 5-1/8"

Base also in basic black 4-1/4" x 11".

I glued the first two layers together then attached them to the base with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I loved this so much, and I was able to make 13 cards with my leftover strips, that I am planning to take them with me to OnStage in Indianapolis in November as a swap card.

Sweet Sunflowers Paper Pumpkin Kit

It was Paper Pumpkin Night last week, four lovely ladies joined me for a fun night of stamping and creating,

We meet the first Thursday of each month to put our kits together. What a fun night of stamping and what a beautiful kit this is to work with. I believe it is their best one yet!!

Patty made 10 cards - some were duplicates so you only see 7 photos

Anna made 6 cards - 2 each of 3 designs - I really like her Poppy Parade color flower.

Bev and I each made 9 cards - 3 each of 3 designs. Bev used a sunflower on the bottom right card, but I chose to use one of the flowers in the designer paper pack from Sale a bration called Wonderful World.

Judy came and made 3 cards, 2 each of the card on the right. This was everyone's favorite piece in the kit.

Karen also could not come, but she shared these cards with us that she made

EVERY card is so beautiful! You just cannot go wrong with this kit.
