Framed Violets

There is one Stampin' Up! demonstrator that I enjoy following because she makes such elegant cards, Gail Ellis. She used to be on the Stampin' Up! Artisan team, and I can see why!!

Flowers die cut in Fresh Freesia and Highland Heather and the stamped flower is colored in with the Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blends.

The background is stamped (Smoky Slate) using a retired stamp set Notes of Texture, and I chose to use the retired Mixed Labels Die for the sentiment as well as the anniversary sentiment from Elegantly Said.

Card #2 is Hydrangea Hue - I love this color!! The Anniversary sentiment is from PHRASES & FRAMES.

This third card I made for a bridal shower to add to the gift I bought for the new bride. I loved it so much that I cut enough for my Tuesday stampers, but put a Happy Birthday sentiment on it instead. The flowers are die cut from Fresh Freesia. The sentiment came from a favorite (but retired) stamp set Wonderful Moments.

For these three cards we used the FRAMED VIOLETS and VIOLET DREAMS DSP. We also used the FERN & FLORA Dies. 

Card #2 also uses the BORDERED IN BEAUTY Dies. For the center of the flowers you can use the 2026-2028 In Color Pearls (in Golden Glow) OR you can use the Iridescent Pearls and color them (if desired) with the dark Golden Glow Stampin' Blend.

Just an FYI - Gail doesn't share any details on how to make her cards. I changed up the sentiment on all of them and also changed up the die cuts for the sentiments. She does have a PDF that you can purchase, but I am too stubborn to buy one since I can pretty much figure out how to make things just looking at the photo.

Velvet Meadows Thinking of You

Playing with the Eyelet Blooms die (this was the Product of the Month in April), the Impressions Plate, and the gorgeous new Velvet Meadow Speciality DSP.

Liz did not share the dimensions, but this is what I used:

Velvet Meadows Designer Paper: 3-3/16" x 4-1/4"

Berry Burst card stock: 3-5/16" x 4-3/8"

Designer Paper strip: 4" x 1"

strip of White Willow card stock for the sentiment was just shy of 3/4" x approximately 2-1/8"

Wonderful Moments

It's hard to imagine ALL of the life events that have been put on hold or simply just changed up completely because of the Covid-19 Coronavirus that is plaguing our world.
I know personally of 2 couples who ended up getting married in their living rooms instead of the fancy church wedding that they have been preparing for, for months.

So today I thought I would share with you some wedding cards that I made a while back using the WONDERFUL MOMENTS Stamp Set.

We are doing great through this time. Dale still works at maintaining the church building, but he is rather lonely in that big building all by himself.

He is all caught up with his soap business, and thankfully he is still getting little orders here and there, as the stores where he sells his products are all closed down.

My life hasn't changed a lot because I normally spend my days working on cards and classes any way, but what has changed is that my stamping friends cannot come to stamp with me. Normally I would have my Stamp A Stack Classes this week, but all that is put on hold.

I already have soooooo many cards for upcoming classes, and am getting a bit weary of it. BUT... then I go to bed at night fully assured that God is in control, and I wake refreshed and start all over again in the morning

I am so very thankful for the orders that are trickling in and helping me keep my head afloat during this time.

 Janell made a bunch of samples from the Sailing Home Bundle and this bundle was the biggest hit of the day.

First Comes Love...

Do you remember this little chant?

First Comes Love, Then Comes Marriage, Then Comes _________ With a Baby Carriage

So here are some cards for every stage

FIRST COMES LOVE:  A fun engagement card using a retired Stamp Set BEAUTIFUL RIDE.
I cut a heart from VELLUM Card Stock then embossed it with the SOFTLY FALLING EMBOSSING FOLDER.
My wedding card was inspired by Jackie Bolhuis 

We actually do have a family wedding this year - my first Great-Niece will be married in May.

The stamp set is one of my favorites in the 2019 Occasions Catalog called PIECE OF CAKE and it comes with a handy dandy punch! YEAH! I love punches! You can check it out HERE

It also is using another of my absolute favorites: STITCHED RECTANGLES FRAMELITS

Colors are Basic Gray, Whisper White and Lovely Lipstick

THEN COMES ______________ WITH A BABY CARRIAGE
I love the WONDERFUL MOMENTS Stamp Set for such an occasion!
I used the new STITCHED RECTANGLE FRAMELITS for the Whisper White piece - can you see the delicate stitching?  I LOVE it!!  This card was inspired by Craic.

Then after the baby is born - you need to send a fun baby card. This card features the Stamp Set FOXY FRIENDS and the FOX BUILDER PUNCH. (Card inspired by Nikki Spencer)

I created the stripe background using a retired mask (stencil). When FOXY FRIENDS first came out they had some super fun Designer Paper to coordinate with it, but since mine was all gone I needed to get creative. I must say, I was happy with the outcome.
