More Thank You's

Wednesday, March 30, 2016
My hubby has been a fabulous care taker for me since surgery, but he cannot do it all.  I feel so bad when I have to ask him to go out of his way to serve me so we have been extra thankful when we have had delicious meals provided for us while I recuperate.  I wanted to send appropriate Thank You notes to everyone and I loved this idea from Tamara on Pinterest.  I used the Note Cards and envelopes which is a perfect size for a Thank You Note.
The Designer Paper is from the Stack of 6x6 paper called CHERRY ON TOP.  You can find the "Thank You" in the stamp set ONE BIG MEANING.
Here is a list of all the products I used for these cute thank you notes

Special Request

Thursday, November 5, 2015
Another special request for a Thank You Note.
Inspired by Pinterest I used the retired Four Feathers stamp set along with the DOTTY ANGLES and  TEENY TINY WISHES.  I ran out of the music note Designer Paper but...I had some music note wrapping paper on hand and it came in very handy for this card.  The feathers are embossed with GOLD EMBOSSING POWDER and it is wrapped with GOLD BAKERS TWINE.

Monday, December 2, 2013
Thanksgiving is over and I am back on track with the COME STAMP WITH ME TUESDAY CLASS! Please notice the time change for tomorrow - I will be open from 10 am to 5 pm.   Remember this is open house style so come when you can and leave when you must.  Cost: only $1.50 per card you choose to make.  Want to see what cards I will have out for you to make?

I have had so many requests for music related cards so tomorrow you will get your chance to make the beautiful piano card.  I made the sample a Thank You card but you may choose whatever you would like or leave it blank - it is all up to you.  (inspired by Brunie Q)

Want to play with owls?  The fun Dr. and Nurse card will be a big hit to send out for a Get Well Card.
(inspired by a card shown on Dawn Griffith's blog)

The 2 Christmas Cards are from the stamp set called BEST OF SNOW.  Don't you just love the darling little hedgehogs??!!  (inspired by Jen Timko and Sandi MacIver)

So won't you COME STAMP WITH ME??!!

By The Seashore

Wednesday, September 19, 2012
Thank You to my friend, Sue, who loaned me her BY THE SEASHORE
stamp set.  She is really drawn to the sea themed stamps and I generally
am not so it didn't surprise me when she ordered this set.
When I saw these cards made up by Penny Smiley

I wanted to make them up as a Thank You to our church secretary
who had all of the church staff to their new home for a wonderful time
of food and fun.  Their new house sits on a very
peaceful private lake and it is GORGEOUS!!
This is the card I made for them...

I seldom make just one of a kind cards, but I didn't necessarily want all
of them to say "Thanks" so the rest of them looked like this...

I never would have thought of the tone on tone for the words but it looks very elegant
The letters were cut using the Big Shot and the Timeless Type (retired) alphabet sizzlits

I loved the simplicity of this next card and on all of them I used the Wood Grain
Embossing Folder, Baja Breeze, Very Vanilla, and Crumb Cake
A little Champagne Glass Glitter gives the sand dollar the look of sand
stuck to the edges.

I made up these 3x3's and although I really liked them I decided to add
a little thanks to this as well and use it for the thank you notes I add to all
the orders each month.  See, another perk for shopping with me!!
These letters were also cut with the Big Shot but instead I used
the Naturally Serif Decorative Strip Die Sizzlit (also retired)
One thing I have learned - retired or not, I never get rid of my alphabets
or word stamps.

Thanks For Stopping By!

Have a Peaceful Day!!

April Thank You's

Monday, May 2, 2011

Everyone who placed an order with me during the month of April received this pretty 3x3
card in with their order that was inspired by Leann Greff, and uses the stamp set
Nature Walk. Personally I am hoping they carry this stamp set into the new catalog in
July, but you never know which ones will make it.

The Vanilla Rosettes were colored by taking a couple drops of re inker (I used Rich Razzleberry to match the card stock), and some water and then I just set them in there until they got to the color I wanted. If I wanted them darker I would just need to add more drops of re inker.

Wouldn't you like to receive a thank you from me?
Just place an order by contacting me through this blog
or click HERE to place an order on my Stampin' Up! web site.

Have a Blessed Day!!

Thank you

Wednesday, April 6, 2011
During the course of a month I send out MANY cards whether they are Happy Birthday, Anniversary, Thinking of You or a simple Thank You, so when I get a card in the mail (or even hand delivered) I just LOVE it!

Here are two Thank You cards that I received recently.

This one was from Lois, a friend that I met through my Stamp A Stack classes. She has also been a workshop hostess for me two separate times, and has done a FABULOUS job! Thanks Lois for the Thanks!

This card is from another friend, Marlane, whom I also met through my Stamp A Stack classes. Marlane signed on as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator last year and is now a part of C3 - Christi's Creative Crew as well as being a Red Hot Stamper.

I just love to see the cards the ladies make and to see what fun they have doing it.

Thanks again ladies!

Have a Blessed Day!

My Favorite Kind of Mail

Friday, March 11, 2011
I love getting mail just as much as the next gal, but when the envelope is addressed so sweet I can hardly wait to tear into it to read what is inside...

And look... she stamped a Thank you card just for me...

I think maybe we have a future stamper in the making.

Have a Blessed Day!

Baby Thank You's

Thursday, January 20, 2011
I made a bunch of these baby thank you's up to give as a gift for the next baby shower I go to. Our church gives a baby shower for all first time mothers and many times this is what I give as a gift.... OR....

I could just save them in hopes of some day soon being able to say I am going to be a Gramma again! HMMM...what to do, what to do?

Actually this might just be a good gift to give to... Charlie's mommy! you see, Charlie is going to be a big brother this summer. More babies for Auntie Christi to watch!! More babies just means "job security" for me!!!

Wedding Thank you's

Friday, October 8, 2010
Tonight is the rehearsal for Jeff and Jess' wedding!! We are SSSSOOOO Excited!! It will be a full day today for me decorating the cakes I baked for them yesterday. Shortly after their engagement they asked if I would make them some special thank you's for the attendants etc. and they would hand them out tonight at the rehearsal dinner.

The theme to their wedding is "Life is a Song, Love is the Music" so I was happy to find this stamp among my retired sets.

After all the Thank you's were made I had all these circle punch outs sitting on my work table and I just couldn't throw them out, figuring I would be able to use them somehow so this is what I came up with.

What a joy it was to be able to make these cards for them. They have asked so little of us where the wedding is concerned. Stay tuned tomorrow to see the wedding card I made for them. And scroll down to see the thank you card I made for the flower girls.

MENU:

SS: Watercolor Trio
CS: Dusty Durango, Old Olive, Naturals White, Chocolate Chip, Window Sheets (Acetate)
INK: Dusty Durango, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, More Mustard
Accessories: Chocolate Chip marker, Spritzer Tool, Corner Rounder, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch, Chocolate Chip 5/8" Satin Ribbon, Brads

And this is the card I made for Jeff and Jess to give to the two little flower girls. Actually, the uniqueness of their wedding with a fall theme, the girls will be throwing fall silk leaves instead of flower petals. I LOVE that idea and it makes it fit right in to the theme. I can't wait to see it all unfold tomorrow!

This is a 4 1/4” square card. A bit bigger than I normally use for my order thank you’s but this one was so cute I couldn’t pass it up. It used the new stamp set called Just Believe and the XL two step Bird Punch. 167bThe colors I used are Sahara Sand, Soft Suede and Rich Razzleberry with the bird punched from Daffodil Delight.

Thank you to: Kristen Moore for this great idea.

So For Now…

Three Little Words…

Saturday, April 24, 2010

Never let a good deed go unnoticed. Make sure you thank the people in your life for kindnesses shown. One of my day care families brought dinner in one night for Dale and I – for no real reason except to say ‘Thank you’ – so I am saying ‘Thank you’ back. And a big Thank You to Carolyn White for this fun idea.
