Tomorrow I get to go see the back surgeon. He is the one that did my fusion about 3 years ago.

The area that was injured in the accident is at the T-12, right above where I had the fusion at the L4-5

I fully expect that I will NOT need surgery, but you know how that goes after you have an injury - you have to have a follow up appointment - especially for the car insurance company who is covering the cost of all this mess. We are SSSSOOOO thankful that we had full coverage on the van. They will even pay for someone to come in and help out here in the home if needed. Of course, my helpers don't want to be paid, they just want to help out. I must say that my house is nice and clean and it sure is nice having someone here to talk to.

I will let you all know how the doctor appointment goes. Prayers are appreciated.

Happy Halloween

Since Halloween is on a Sunday this year, the Trick-or-Treaters will be out tonight instead of tomorrow.

I'm pretty bummed that I won't be able to answer the door for all the darling children and hand out treats.

I love a good Snoopy cartoon

I have a dear friend, Bev, that faithfully comes to my Tuesday class EVERY week. This past summer she was watching her 9 year old grand daughter after mom had surgery, so little Evie got to come along. What an absolute joy she is, and man, did she catch on fast! It wasn't long before she was showing Bev how to do it!!

When school started up she was bummed that she wouldn't be able to come with grandma, but then she saw my invite that said I am open until 7pm. She jumped right on that and now comes after school.

A week ago I had to cancel my Tuesday class due to our accident, but I had one Halloween card planned that would not be able to be used once I started classes back up. I contacted Bev to see if Evie would like to make up the Halloween cards

Not only was Evie excited to make them up, her brother, Jude, wanted to come and make some up as well

I had Dale set everything out and then Bev brought them over in the afternoon. I was super happy to be able to have someone enjoy those cards. They even came upstairs to say "hi"

I was so happy to be able hold a split shift class this past Tuesday, and I am holding a Christmas Card Class today. (I will still need to sit 90% of the time, but I have a nice comfy chair). My normal Tuesday Classes will resume on November 2nd.

We were able to purchase a new (to us) vehicle, a 2019 Nissan Rogue

Not a great picture because it was so dark out, but praying that this new car will service us well. Dale said that if we had this vehicle we never would have had that accident because it has the feature that would turn your wheel back onto the road when it senses you veering off the road. Oh, technology!!

Our guest stamper for today is Chris...

I just love this card! The stamp set is so cool but so is the specialty designer paper

Stamp Sets: Sweets & Treats and Measure of Love

These are the measurements that Chris used, but she thinks the measurements are different than the video

2 pieces cardstock. 4 1/4 x 7 1/2

Score @ 2 inches on each end of both pieces

1 small strip cardstock 1 x 4 1/4

1 small strip cardstock. 1 1/4 x 4 1/4

Score both small strips @ 3/8 inch on both ends

This last card from Chris seems to be a popular fun fold and I have seen so many varieties. Chris was using up some of her retired designer paper from last fall. I always encourage my gals to use up their product and not to hoard it.

Sue shared the cards that she prepared for her most recent card class

Feels Like Home

Welcoming Woods

For this card the EVERGREEN FOREST embossing folder was used with the 2021–2023 IN COLOR SHIMMER VELLUM (evergreen color) and this is the result! pretty cool!!

This card was made using the Baby Wipe Technique and the GORGEOUS LEAVES Stamp Set

Hand Penned Petals

Many of her cards she had a variety of sentiments along with punches for the gals to choose from.

Heartfelt Wishes Stamp Set with the Merry Melody Embossing folder and the Christmas Pinecone Dies.

Timeless Tropical Stamp Set

After The Storm Stamp Set with Evergreen Stamp Set

Arctic Bears Stamp Set and Bears Dies - she made a cool Aurora Borealis

Artistic Dies

You can see that she taught them several variations of how to sponge color onto their cards using the new Blending Brushes. It's always fun to learn a new technique or be refreshed on an old technique like the Baby Wipe Technique.
