Today' s guest stamper is our 7 year old grand daughter, Lily.

Lily had her first sleepover at Yaya & Bumpa's house and she had several things on her "list" that she wanted to do.

One of those things was to make cards with Yaya.

Since Valentine's Day is right around the corner, she thought that making Valentine cards for her family would be perfect.

The first card she made was for Bumpa who likes coffee

Lily made a card for her Mom & Dad and all three of her siblings

She opted to not color in the alligator, the tiger and the lion so that Sawyer, Mercy & Oliver could color them in for themselves.

On Saturday morning she wanted to make one more card for Yaya, but we ran out of time so I had to finish the card that she started for me

Lily also chose to make some dairy free cookies and to help Bumpa with a batch of soap

Acetate Window Card

My friend and co-demonstrator, Janell, and I have been working on prepping for a fall retreat just for our team. It's getting close and we are getting excited for this two day event.

We decided to have a stamping/creating challenge on Saturday night so I have been grabbing a ton of card fun fold ideas and compiling them for everyone to use for inspiration.

There are so many talented demonstrators but a few that I have been using their fun fold ideas are: Jackie Bolhuis, Patty Bennett, Connie Stewart, Patricia, Lynn Dunn, Julie DiMatteo, Karen Titus, Julie Davison,

I really loved this card by Lisa Curcio and although this one is a bit more challenging, I hope that someone at the retreat will give it a try. What they don't know (unless they read my blog today) is that they will get points for a variety of aspects of the card or cards that they make.

This is NOT a shaker card, but look how cute it is with those loose sequins sandwiched in there.

I used a ton of retired papers on my samples, and most of them I didn't complete with decor, but this one I did because it was hard to display without completing it, AND... I loved it so much that I will be able to use it to send out after the retreat.

The stamp set used is HELLO LADYBUG

OnStage Swaps

What a great time we had at the Stampin' Up! OnStage Event in Indianapolis

One fun added feature of the weekend was the I SPY game that Stephanie Flath prepared for us.

One of the photos that I had to take was of my favorite swap card that I swapped out with other demonstrators at OnStage

After pearing things down I decided that this was my favorite card

However... there were so many very cute cards that it really was a hard choice

So I am featuring some runners-up

The idea behind swapping cards is to gather ideas that we can use on future classes. With that being said - I am most likely to make card #2 with the HAND PENNED flowers and scalloped edge from the SCALLOPED CONTOUR DIES

I also REALLY LOVE the Navitity card using the PEACE TO YOU stamp set.

Today's card was inspired by Mary Brown. But when you add layers and dimensions, I guess I can call it my own.

We will be making this card at an upcoming Tuesday class.

I used the brand new TWIGS & SPRIGS 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER (item #159168) for my 3-3/4" x 5" layer

I had the zig zag pieces laying on my crafting table (from the BASIC BORDERS DIES item #155558) as well as the black and white print stitched circles from two previous projects, and I wanted to clear off my table before I left on vacation. I'm so glad I worked ahead because coming home there is so much to catch up on, of course now I want to play with new products. *sigh*

I used a 1/2" and a 5/8" circle punch(es) for the center of the large daisy.

The iridescent sequins were left over from a Paper Pumpkin Kit from way back (who knows when)
