Feathered Fun

Wednesday, February 25, 2026

FEATHERED FUN was one of those stamp sets that I for sure wanted to get right away when the annual catalog came out last May, and it has sat on my shelf and not gotten much use. How sad.

But when I saw this slim line card by Stacey Marsh (who is/was on the 2025 Artisan Design Team) I knew that I wanted to make this card up for my friend, Jackie, who has a cockatoo named Squiggy. She will love all these cute little birdies on her birthday card this year.

A slim line card generally measures 8-1/2" x 7" scored at 3-1/2"

Stacey doesn't give any instructions so I used the little branches from LIFETIME OF LOVE (in Pecan Pie) and the leaves from LAYERS OF BEAUTY in Old Olive and Mossy Meadow.

The colors of Stampin' Blends that I used are: Tahitian Tide, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade, Timid Tiger & Highland Heather.

For the sentiment I pulled out the HANDMADE & HEARTFELT stamp set that came with a kit. (and is still available)

FOR EVERY ORDER PLACED IN FEBRUARY, I WILL PUT YOUR NAME INTO A DRAWING AND THE WINNER WILL RECEIVE THE BEAUTIFULLY CELEBRATED BUNDLE (A $53 VALUE)

I LOVE THESE DIES ESPECIALLY, AND THOSE CORNER DIES ARE SO PERFECT FOR CARD MAKING AND SCRAPBOOKING

Beautiful Gallery Hinge Card

Tuesday, February 24, 2026

Here are 4 cards made with the same layout using the BEAUTIFUL GALLERY Designer Paper, with a fun flip flap greeting.

I chose to use the HANDMADE & HEARTFELT 'Happy Birthday' stamp for all of the cards to keep them uniform, but my Tuesday stampers are allowed to change up the sentiment for whatever they need.
I do not know who was the inspiration was for these cards and I had no instructions so here are the measurements that I came up with for the cards that I made:
Base: 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" scored at 4-1/4" then cut 1-1/4" off from one side.
On the 1-1/4" piece that you cut off, you will cut off 1" and then score at 1" for the hinge. You will tuck this hinge under the inside Basic White.
Use the DAMASK Embossing Folder (or the folder of your choice) to emboss the front part of your base
Layers: 4-3/4" x 3-1/2" Designer Paper: 4-1/2" x 3-1/4"
Basic White for the inside: 4" x 5-1/4" and 1" x 31/4" for the sentiment
Basic Beige ribbon

FOR EVERY ORDER PLACED IN FEBRUARY, I WILL PUT YOUR NAME INTO A DRAWING AND THE WINNER WILL RECEIVE THE BEAUTIFULLY CELEBRATED BUNDLE (A $53 VALUE)

Blessed Beginnings

Monday, February 23, 2026

Today's card features the new BLESSED BEGINNINGS Bundle

And although the front says "Thinking of you" I do have an Easter Greeting for the inside.

Old Olive card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” on the long side
Balmy Blue card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 5” by 3¼”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” for the inside
Scrap Basic White card

You can use a Blending Brush to apply Balmy Blue ink to the smaller panel of Basic White card if you like, and the ‘ground’ was stamped with Crumb Cake ink.

The tree and a bush were stamped on the right-hand side of the panel using Basic Gray ink. The tree was colored with Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends Pens and the bush with Old Olive Stampin' Blends Pens. The panel was then glued to the Balmy Blue layer and then to the Old Olive card base.

The church, 2 trees and 2 bushes were stamped on a scrap of Basic White card stock; then cut out using the Blessed Beginnings Dies.

The church was colored with the following Stampin' Blends Pens – Lemon Lolly, Crumb Cake and Gray Granite. The trees were colored same as those above. These were added to the card front with either glue or Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped using the Tractor & Co stamp set with Basic Gray ink onto scrap Basic White card, trimmed it down, flagged the ends and added it to the card front.

Note: This card is just a tad bit bigger than our standard 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" when finished so I supplied my stampers with a bit larger envelope that I found at our local craft store.

This card was Inspired by the talented  Mo Rootes from the UK

Greenery Lane Washi Tape

Sunday, February 22, 2026

I LOVE the EXTRAORDINARY FLORA WASHI TAPE so much, that I knew I was going to love the new GREENERY LANE WASHI TAPE.

This Washi Tape measures 3-1/2" wide, but it works perfectly in a card like this where the left side of the card front is hidden

This card was inspired by Mary Ann Cowan and was so fun to make

Mary Ann's instructions:

The coordinating colors for the Washi Tape are Lost Lagoon, Pretty Peacock and Garden Green.

For this card I used Pretty Peacock as the accent color of card stock.

Measurements:

  • Basic White Card Base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
  • Basic White Car Stock 3-1/2″ x 5-1/4″- I added the Washi tape to this piece and then embossed it using the Lovely Stripes 3D Embossing Folder
  • Pretty Peacock Card Stock 5-3/8″ x 5-3/8″
  • Pretty Peacock  1″ x 5-3/8″ embossed using the Lovely Stripes 3D Embossing Folder
  • Vellum and Basic White die cut using the Beautifully Celebrated Dies
  • Basic White 3-1/2″ x 4″ – Washi Tape attached- die cut out various leaves using the Greenery Lane Dies
  • Pretty Peacock and Vellum scraps Basic White 3-1/2″ x 4″ – Washi Tape attached- die cut out various leaves using the  Greenery Lane Dies
I used the FABULOUS SAYINGS stamp set that we got for our January Product of the month, and just a few Neutral Matte Dots

The Beautifully Celebrated dies are what are used on this card and it is the February Door Prize Drawing. Place an order during February and get your name in the door prize drawing to win it.

FOR EVERY ORDER PLACED IN FEBRUARY, I WILL PUT YOUR NAME INTO A DRAWING AND THE WINNER WILL RECEIVE THE BEAUTIFULLY CELEBRATED BUNDLE (A $53 VALUE)

Easter Basket of Flowers

Thursday, February 19, 2026

I realize that my blog posts have been MIA for the past few days - sorry about that. I thought that I was all caught up in advance.

Now that Valentine's Day has come and gone, it't time to direct my focus to some Springtime and Easter cards. I have already been asked if I was going to feature some faith-based Easter cards at our Tuesday classes. YOU BET!! I'd my very favorite time of year!!

I cased this card from Su Mohr

Such a cute card that can be used not only for Easter, but also for a "thinking of you" Springtime card.

The Woven Textures DSP is now on the Last Chance List

The basket is filled with flowers, using the Extraordinary Flora Die to cut Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape. This fabulous Washi Tape was adhered to Basic Beige Cardstock prior to cutting. Then, a bit of glue was used to arrange the flowers in the basket, and the basket of flowers was placed on Dimensionals.

The background is Basic Beige Cardstock, cut with the largest Branching Out Die, and embossed with the Gathering Leaves Embossing Folder. This layer was glued to a Basic Beige card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.  The tiny “for you” is from a retired stamp set, A Wish For Everything. I stamped it in Crumb Cake ink on Very Vanilla Card Stock, and used the retired Best Label Punch. As a last detail, I added a Linen Thread bow.

FOR EVERY ORDER PLACED IN FEBRUARY, I WILL PUT YOUR NAME INTO A DRAWING AND THE WINNER WILL RECEIVE THE BEAUTIFULLY CELEBRATED BUNDLE (A $53 VALUE)
