He Is Not Here; He Has Risen

As I was pulling out my Easter Cards that I had left over from last year I had one of these cross cards. I have shared with you 2 other varieties of cross cards but I think that this one is my favorite. I like that it is on a standard card base, yet lays flat to fit in your mailing envelope.

I needed some Easter cards with more of a masculine feel so wanted to revamp this card using products that I have on hand.

I'm not sure how many Easter cards that you send out, but I send out a bunch - especially to the widows/widowers, and shut-ins (anyone on the prayer list) at church. 

We attend a large church so I get to bless many with beautiful hand stamped cards.

I pulled out my Neutrals 6x6 Designer Paper Pack to see how many sheets that I had available in Crumb Cake color that would fit this card.

There are two patterns that I thought would fit it just fine. And instead of adding a daffodil flower like in the first photo, I chose the greenery image from HOLD ON TO HOPE. (retired). The words come from EASTER MESSAGE (also retired)

The wood grain designer paper is from COUNTRY WOODS.

MEASUREMENTS:

Crumb Cake 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" scored at 4-1/4"

Basic White 5” x 5-1/4”

Score on the 5” side at 1-3/8”, 1-7/8”, 3-1/8”, 3-5/8”, 

DSP: 5” x 1-1/4” (x2) sides

DSP for cross: 5” x 1-1/8” & 3” x 1-1/8”

White 3-1/8” x 1-1/4”

Basic White for the inside 5-1/4" x 5"

HAPPY Spring!

HAPPY Spring is right! I cannot wait for the official first day of Spring on March 21st

Back to a cute Easter Bunny card.

This card was inspired by Kelly Acheson

Dimensions:

• Basic White Thick – 11″ x 4 1/4″ scored at 5 1/2″
• Basic White – 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″, 1/2″ x 3 1/2″, scrap
• Easter Joy Specialty DSP – 2″ x 5 1/8″
• Pretty In Pink – 2 1/8″ x 5 1/2″, 4″ x 5 1/4″, 5/8″ x 3 5/8″

I colored in the bunny with light Crumb Cake Stampin' Blend, and the carrot with a dark Peach Pie

Super cute and super easy to make. I love the Balmy Blue gingham ribbon

To create the "Happy Spring" sentiment I inked up just the "Happy" from one stamp and just the "Spring" from another stamp.  This is so easy to do especially now that all our stamps are sold in Photopolymer.

Fun Fold Cross Card

Today's Easter card features a great fun fold displaying the real reason for Easter, that Jesus came to die for our sins. I am forever grateful!!

I chose to use the LOVELY GARDEN Designer Paper. I didn't realize when I chose this paper that it had retired. It can be so hard to keep on top of what is retired.

Speaking of retired, The little butterfly is from BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLIES Dies and the "Easter Blessings" is from DAFFODIL DAYDREAMS.

I patterned this card after the directions from Terri Gaines

Card Base: 8-1/2" x 5-1/2* score at 4-1/4" & 7-1/4*

Cardstock (same color as card base): 3-3/4* x 1-1/4" Designer Series Paper (for card): 2-3/4" x 5-1/4", 4" x 5-1/4" Designer Series Paper (for cross): 1-1/8* x 5-3/8*, 3-5/8* x 1-1/8*

Inside Sentiment Layer: 2-3/4" x 5-1/4* max size

Retiring In Colors 2024-2026

The colors that are retiring are: Pretty in Pink, Petunia Pop, Peach Pie, Shy Shamrock, and Summer Splash (I’m going to miss these colors). Some stamp pads and card stock are in low inventory!

Easter Basket

I have been focusing on making Easter Cards for my Tuesday Stampers as well as for those that I need to send out. I know that my stampers love the Faith based cards (and I do too), but I did want to have a mixture of Faith based and cutsie, Bunny rabbits and the like. I love the two new stamp sets that campout for Easter - BLESSED BEGINNINGS and EASTER BASKET. I'm also super glad that the FAITH COLLECTION stamp set and dies are still current which gives me a lot of variety to work with.

Today's card features the EASTER BASKET Bundle

And I am getting a lot of milage out of the EASTER JOY Specialty Paper.

This card was inspired by one I saw on Pinterest, but no link to who created it.

My card actually measures 5-1/2" x 4" finished - to save on Designer Paper. 

I cut the second piece of designer paper at 3" x 4-1/4" layered onto a piece of Basic White that measures 3/16" larger.

I stamped one little carrot using two different inks: Shay Shamrock & Peach Pie. A single egg stamped with  Lemon Lolly and a trio of flowers in Pretty in Pink.

Nature Walk With Prayers & Promises

NATURE WALK Designer Paper is so gorgeous and this card features several of the prints in that 12x12 pack of paper 

This card also features one of my favorite stamp sets: PRAYERS & PROMISES.

The leaf sprig comes from PETALS OF BEAUTY 

I don't have a blog post to refer you to but it was inspired by Sarah Mauk a fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator in Wisconsin.

I cut my sprig from Secret Sea card stock (not sure what Sarah used). This is a great layout that can be used with any designer paper and you would get a totally different look. Also a great way to use up your scraps.
