BBQ Master

 One of the new On Line Exclusive stamps sets/bundle is so perfect for the guys in your life. The BBQ MASTER bundle is versatile as you could use it for birthdays, Father's Day or even for making invitations for a summer cook out party. Oh, and don't forget SCRAPBOOKING!!

The card that I am sharing today was inspired by Kylie Bertucci. The look is the same, however I made a couple subtle changes.

Kylie heat embossed her grill and I simply stamped it with Black ink.

Kylie used the Nested Essentials Dies of the Smoky Slate Piece, but to get the extended size, you would need to run it through the cutting machine twice. I would never ask my Tuesday stampers to do this, and I wasn't willing to put in the extra time to prepare so many pieces like this. Therefore I cut my Smoky Slate at 2-3/8" x 4". Then I used a corner rounder for the edges. The images are stamped with Basic Gray ink as well as the edges sponged with some Basic Gray ink as well. I cut the Basic Black to back it at 2-9/16" x 4-3/16".

The extra stamp used for a little grunge look is from NATURE'S SYMPHONY. 

The sentiment is stamped on Basic Black with Versa Mark and White Embossing Powder.

Silly Old Bear!

I am super excited!!

I never dreamed that Stampin' Up! would get the copyrights for my most beloved character - Winnie the Pooh! 

The designer paper is so much fun!

The Sweet Old Friends Bundle...

Let me tell you a story... My beloved Auntie Cene (Maxine) worked in the children's department at Sears for many years. When I was little, I was very tiny and I could wear the clothing she sold until I was nearly through grade school. At that time, Sears held the only right to sell Winnie the Pooh, so if you wanted anything Pooh you had to shop at Sears. Even when I was grown and started my own family, she was still working there, and our kids always got the most fun Pooh clothes and "stuff". To this day I miss my auntie so very, very much! She was a cut above. Perhaps this is why I am such a super fan of Pooh. In later years we actually had a cockapoo puppy that we named Pooh, and now we have our Lucy who carries my aunties name. Of course, we usually only use her full name LUCY MAXINE when she is in trouble!!

When my sweet mama celebrated her 90th birthday, the Christopher Robin movie came out, so all 4 of us girls took her to the theatre to see it. Not sure how much she understood the movie because at that time her mind was enveloped with dementia, and we lost her only 2 months later. What a precious memory.

As a Stampin' Up! demonstrator I was able to purchase this suite several weeks in advance, and have had so much fun playing with it. I designed 2 cards and a box using these products for my May Card Club gals and I will share that with you after that class. (don't want to spoil the fun for them)

In Color Switch

TOMORROW!! Tomorrow starts the new May - August Catalog!! This is always such an exciting time of the year for us demonstrators. (And you too) It's so fun to start playing with some new products and the new In-Colors - YEAH!! 

The retiring in colors...

The NEW in colors...

What is my favorite? Well, all I can say is that the three colors that I have played with so far are Golden Glow (matches perfect for all my Winnie the Pooh cards), Hydrangea Hue, and Barely Blush.

The changes that Stampin' Up! has made regarding retiring products is this... instead of automatically discontinuing everything on the retired list, they all go into the Last Chance List until all supplies are gone. 

Therefore...the card that I am sharing to day uses the BEAUTIFUL GALLERY 6x6 DSP, which you have seen me use multiple times, is technically "retired", but will be on the Last Chance List until supplies are gone.

I am using a brand new stamp set for the sentiment that will be available to purchase tomorrow. It was designed by Sue Campfield who achieved her $1,000,000 in sales. It is called PHRASES & FRAMES. You can also purchase it as a bundle

Sentimental Sunday

It has been one year since our sweet Everleigh Hope was ushered into the arms of Jesus without ever taking a single breath here on earth.

How can you miss someone so much when you never even had a chance to meet them? Our hearts still ache for the grand daughter we will never know, but we have the confidence that we will meet her someday in heaven.

When I think of her, I picture her walking with Jesus, totally whole.

Our children are doing well, but she is always in their thoughts. Jeff is taking off work a day so that they can celebrate Everleigh's birthday together as a family. Lily & Mercy said that for sure they needed to bake cupcakes.

I made this card for them in memory of Everleigh Hope

They had pink bunny (stuffy) that they called Everleigh's bunny so I thought that the cute little bunny from Notes Of Spring would be a perfect fit. This card was inspired by Angie and she used the little deer from that same stamp set.

Also used Scalloped Blooms Dies, Stylish Shapes Dies, Extraordinary Flora Stamp Set, Cute As A Bug Designer Paper.

So this is what is on my heart today as we remember this difficult time that we walked through one year ago.
