It has been quite some time since I have had a Stampin' Up! Workshop a.k.a. Private Class or "party."
I was super excited when I was asked to hold a private class for 3 amazing ladies.
They actually came to our home to purchase some soaps and lotions, etc from Dale's in home store and they admired my craft room. This is not the first time that Dale's customers have also become my customers, (and vice versa)
I was planning this class prior to the new catalog coming out and I needed to make sure it was all product that was going to be carried over to the NEW Catalog and I also wanted to limit how much product that I used that used the Big Shot because of Stampin' Up! discontinuing this product, and we still do not have a date for when the new cutting system will be released.
What I found: It is VERY hard to plan cards without using the Big Shot and we have such amazing Dies.
I spent some time prepping for the class and what I wanted to share with these new stampers
I've got my catalog all prepped
These are the cards that I decided to feature, wanting to stick with one main stamp set...
I chose to use the stamp set POP OF PETALS and the FOUR-PETAL PUNCH
This first card I would consider to be a beginner card
Colors: Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green with Whisper White
I also used the STITCHED LABELS DIES, STITCHED SHAPES DIES, and the LAYERING OVALS DIES.
The CORRUGATED EMBOSSING FOLDER gives the card some dimension.
The second Stamp Set is called HERE'S A CARD for the Happy Birthday Greeting.
Card # 2 also features the stamp set STITCHED ALL AROUND for the greeting.
I would call this card geared for the Casual Stamper. We added some LINEN THREAD and some more die cut shapes from the STITCHED LABELS DIES as well as some leaves punched from the LEAF PUNCH and some Mint Macron Card Stock. A sweet gold FACETED GEM is in the center of the flower. This time we stacked two flowers together which also adds dimension.
The TUFTED EMBOSSING FOLDER is one of my favorites.
Colors: Petal Pink, Crumb Cake, Mint Macron and Shimmery White.
Card #3 I would qualify for and Avid stamper. I added a layer of Mango Medley onto the Coastal
Cabana and then a layer of WATERCOLOR PAPER. We used the AQUAPAINTER and some Coastal Cabana Ink to create a watercolor wash, and we added some PEARL BASIC JEWELS to the centers of the flowers.
We also stamped the leaf image and hand cut them out. An Avid Stamper doesn't mind fussy cutting to give her card dimension!!
Colors: Coastal Cabana, Mango Medley, Granny Apple Green, Rococo Rose, Soft Suede.
I used the LIGHT MANGO MEDLEY STAMPIN' BLENDS for the centers of the flowers. To step this 3rd card up even more you could add a second layer to your flowers
