Christmas Cards

With Christmas on the horizon we are finding many Christmas cards and greetings in our mailbox every day.

Some are from family or friends with wonderful updated letters about their family.

Some are hand stamped from some of my team members, and some are hand stamped cards from customers (which are really friends, too).

This first one is super special sent from Brenda's husband, Chuck
Brenda was a team member who passed away very unexpectedly this year (prior to COVID) - Those of us who knew her, miss her terribly.
This note is what accompanied the card
They copied her card and sent it to everyone who were friends and family that Brenda would have also sent her hand made cards to.

 I thought this was so extremely thoughtful and probably very hard for Chuck to do, but I would imagine that it was somewhat healing as well.

Team Shares

At our team meeting last week we had a few shares and I wanted to share them with you 
Inez shared this box card that she made with her on line stamping group - I've been wanting to try this card technique so was excited to see one first hand
Pam made this pretty fall card using the Celebration Labels Dies & the Celebration Tidings Stamp Set. Don't you just love that plaid paper? I'm not terrible fond of plaid - but this is so pretty!
Inez also shared this super cool Merry Moose card! of all the moose cards that I have seen, this one is my favorite! I love the different from traditional Christmas colors.
Sue did our Make & Take project for this month showing everyone an oldie but goodie technique of using masking (or painters) tape to add varying colors to your card.
We have several newer demonstrators on our team so it is nice to show something that we have used in the past. I will try to remember the colors she used. On the purple card it is Seaside Spray, Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape and Rich Razzleberry.  On the yellow card she used So Saffron, Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, and Mango Melody.

Weekly Challenge

Sometimes our team weekly challenge is more of a challenge for me than for my team because I'm the one that has to come up with what our challenge will be each week.
A couple weeks ago I had a visit from a new-to-me stamper who brought some great cards to share with me.



She showed me how she cut the Designer Paper so that you make 4 cards using only 1 sheet of 6x6 Designer Paper.
I had to give it a try to share with the gals
Here are the instructions:
 Starting with a 6x6 piece of Designer Paper (I used white so you can see the marking better), measure down 1-1/2" on all 4 sides.
Place your paper in the trimmer and line up as shown with the markings in the cutter line
Now, lay the flat side of each piece in the trimmer as shown with the mark in the cutter line
 Repeat for the second piece.
 Then you end up with 4 exact pieces like this.
I flipped one of my pieces over to use the opposite side of the designer paper.

Guest Stampers Lynda & Peggy and a Fundraiser Update

Today we have 2 guest stampers! Our first guest stamper is Lynda. 
I was curious what the difference was in the Shimmer White Stampin' Emboss Powder and Lynda chose this product as one of her rewards so she made this card using it, and I must say that it is stunning with the WINTER WOODS stamp set
 She also made this darling penguin card using the PLAYFUL PENGUIN stamp set
 WRAPPED IN PLAID Designer Paper and the PERFECTLY PLAID BUNDLE  on the Silver Foil Edged Cards
COME TO GATHER Designer Paper - I love the white pumpkins and the Pretty Peacock card stock
On this last card she showed how she colored the FEELS LIKE FROST Designer Paper - so pretty 
Our second guest stamper is Peggy
 How much fun is this,. with the Merry Moose?
Over The Moon is the stamp set that Peggy used on this last card - isn't she sweet??!!

During the month of November we have been holding a fundraiser for our grandson, Sawyer who was born with a 1 in a 1,000,000 condition called Xeroderma Pigmentosum (XP). Click HERE to see his introduction video.

Holiday Catalog Team Swaps

At our October Team Meeting we did a Holiday Catalog Swap. I am so happy with the amount of participation, and I wanted to share them with you today.
Carla used Wrapped in Plaid Designer Paper along with the Peaceful Boughs Bundle and some Puff Paint on the branches and pinecones. The Embossing Folder is called Hammered Metal and is one of our new 3D folders that give a nice deep embossed image
Inez used the So Many Stars Stamp Set but made it into a birthday card instead of a Christmas Card, showing the versatility of our stamp sets
Brenda used the Merry Moose Bundle (stamp set and punch) for a fun winter scene
Sue used this trifold technique that we all want to make using the Feels Like Frost Designer Paper with the Frosted Frames Dies. Instead of making this a Christmas card, Sue made it a Thinking of You card using the stamp sets Colorful Seasons and Beautiful Promenade for the sentiments.
Jodie used the Wrapped in Plaid Designer Paper with the Pine Tree Punch and the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set (the stamp set and the punch are at a bundle price and you get 10% off)
 Chris went with a Halloween theme and a fun fold using the Monster Bash Designer Paper and the pumpkins from Gather Together. The Trick or Treat Stamp is from Itty Bitty Greetings
Janell used the Gather Together Bundle with the Sprig Punch and some new Designer Paper
A beautiful fall card!
Debbie used the Still Scenes Bundle & the Shaker Domes - A beautiful winter scene
Lynda used the Christmas Gleaming Bundle
 
 Anna - used her favorite stamp Playful Penquins which is NOT a bundle so she did a lot of fussy cutting just for us!
Christi - I opted to do a treat instead of a card and used the super fun Snowman Season Stamp Set & the NEW Puff Paint
What I love is the variety of stamp sets that were chosen giving us all some great ideas for our classes.
