Guest Stamper, Carla

Friday, September 14, 2012
My friend, and one of the gals in my down line, Carla, is doing so well
with her card making - selling them before she can stock up even!
She has a great resource through her regular job and her friends are
starting to make requests.
I LOVE IT!!
These are two cards she made when someone requested some
butterfly cards
She used Butterfly Prints Stamp Set on the out side of her card
and Kindness Matters Stamp Set on the inside

I think she did a BEAUTIFUL job!!
Thanks for Sharing, Carla!!

Convention, Here I Come!!

Tuesday, July 12, 2011
Today is the day I leave for Stampin' Up! Convention in Utah!!
I am soooo excited I can hardly stand it!
This is my first chance to go, and from what I hear from other demonstrators
it is a ton of fun and we learn many new and exciting things.

My Friend Rachel came one day last week to help me get my SWAPS ready for Convention

A SWAP is where you bring a card (front only) and then you SWAP with other demonstrators for the card fronts they made. That way I will come home with a ton of ideas for future classes.
This is a card idea I made up a while back and was planning to use it for one of my Stamp A Stack classes once the new IN-COLORS came out.
So this was a perfect chance to make these up.

First we stamped the three butterflies using Calypso Coral, Island Indigo, and Lucky Limeade, then ran it through the Big Shot using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.
Then another corresponding butterfly was placed on top using a Dimensional to pop it up.

This was another idea Rachel thought of, but the first card won out. I really like this card alot especially now that I put the Island Indigo card stock behind it. Oh well, maybe another time.

Won't Rachel get a laugh when she gets this in the mail as her Thank You for all her help.

Click HERE to place a purchase at my online site. As an added incentive BONUS, any order $50 or more (before S&H) placed on my Stampin' Up! site while I am at Convention
(July 12-17, 2011) will receive an EXTRA FREQUENT STAMPER TOKEN.
Remember if you collect 10 FST's you can redeem them for a FREE stamp set of your choice.

Have A Blessed Day!!

C3 Challenge

Saturday, May 14, 2011
Now that I have 7 lovely gals in my down line I have been having a separate down line meeting in my home for them, and then once a quarter Glenda has everyone come to a full down line meeting at her house. I am still getting used to this so I try to piggy-back off her meeting and then share the same info at mine - yes, I know, I'm cheating (haha). So even though we are all Red Hot Stampers, we are also in a group of our own call Christi's Creative Crew which I lovingly call C3.

In March we met here and I issued a challenge for the gals to pick a layout design from any of the Stampin' Success Magazines that we get every month and to make a card.

This is the card that I made for my challenge...

First I stamped the butterflies from the stamp set called Butterfly Prints on Whisper White card stock with Poppy Parade, Concord Crush and Peach Parfait - three of our current IN- Colors. Then I ran the card front only through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder. I also stamped the same butterflies on a separate scrap piece of Whisper White Card Stock, smooshed Versa Mark on them and then heat embossed them with Iridescent Ice to give them a bit of "dazzle". I attached the butterflies with a side piece of dimensionals and added pearls and a rhinestone.

The more I look at it the more I like it - such a simple basic card, but it has flare!!

If any of my gals complete their challenge I will share those with you as well.

Have a Blessed Day!!
