Christi's Creative Crew: Happy Hedgehogs

At our team meeting last week we had a team card swap using new products from the new annual catalog

Here are the cards that everyone made:

Janell's beautiful card features the CHEERFUL DAISIES Bundle

She also used the COUNTRYSIDE CORNERS Bundle,

and in true Janell style she made everyone an extra treat.

Her envelope is stamped as well as the inside of her card.

Linda used some retired products but it was fun to see her layout

Rochelle made a fun fold using the FRESH AS A DAISY Designer Paper

Inez also made a fun fold and she used the COUNTRYSIDE INN Designer Paper,

and the CIRCLE SAYINGS Stamp Set

Lynda chose the ZOO CREW Designer Paper and ZANY ZOO Stamp Set.

And what a fun fold this is!

Dawn also used the ZANY ZOO Stamp Set. Such a cute little raccoon!

Susan made a beautiful card using the CHEERFUL DAISIES Bundle

Marlane used the HAPPY HEDGEHOGS Stamp Set and punch.

Her new product used is the BRIGHT & BEAUTIFUL Designer Paper

Anna opted for a treat vs a card for everyone. She used the LITTLE MONKEYS Bundle

Chris used the ZOO CREW Designer Paper.

She made a variety using the alligator and the fox

Debbie O made these darling gift card holders using the SUPREMELY AWESOME Stamp Set

For her pizza on the front of the card she added Italian Seasoning so it looks like a real pizza - and to be totally honest - it SMELLS like a real pizza too!! So clever!

An extra treat inside for me - she is always so sweet and thoughtful

Pam's card is called an envelope style card

So pretty using the FRESH AS A DAISY Designer Paper

The beautiful daisy holds the point of the flap shut

This is the card that I used for my swap

It required a bunch of fussy-cutting from the ZOO CREW Designer Paper,

but I think that fussy-cutting is my super power (haha)

Also used: Dots & Spots Die, Stylish Shapes Dies

Cardstock: Basic White and Lost Lagoon.

When the July to December mini catalog goes live on July 1st I will place the order for the Pearlized Enamel Effects Basics and get them to you as soon as they arrive.

Today's swap cards are from Rochelle and Dawn

Rochelle chose the Happy Hedgehogs Bundle (157985) and for his back she used some gold foil that she embossed to give it texture. This bundle comes with a punch which is perfect! I love a bundle with a punch!

And Dawn chose to use the darling new ELEPHANT PARADE Stamp Set. She used a fun technique using all of the new in colors. Her little elephant was colored in with colored pencils.

On the vacation front: Monday we toured the Biltmore Estate - totally AMAZING!!

It is truly difficult to choose which pictures to share with you because I took a ton.

The architecture is mind-blowing as to what they could do in the late 1800's This estate took at least 8 years to fully complete. Hard to believe they could think about everything that they wanted and how they instituted it in this home. I would think that they would get lost in their own home. It took us 90 minutes for the tour of the house and then at least another 90 minutes to tour all of the gardens. I'm even sure we missed some things.

This is where they ate their Breakfast and Lunch - seriously!

23,000 books are in this Library - George Vanderbilt was an avid reader of all varieties

They hired a immigrant from Germany to make the gorgeous spiral stairways

45 Bathrooms in this house - very primitive in comparison to all the elaborate

rooms throughout the estate

Billiard Room

The table on the left is a regular pool table and the table on the right

was more of a carom style game with balls.

Indoor 2-lane Bowling alley

Exercise Room

Just a portion of the room where the servants prepared all the food for the family

They started at 6am and worked until midnight and then it started all over again the next day

Finally a picture of the two of us in the English Gardens

And TONS of beautiful flowers in the Conservatory - The gardener that designed the gardens and the landscaping is the same person who oversaw the Central Park in New York City. - George Biltmore honored him so much that he hung a HUGE portrait of him in the home as well as another HUGE portrait of the guy who was the architect for the home.

These were just a few.

Sadly Dale seems to have caught a stomach bug so that was it for the day, unless you consider I did some laundry here in the hotel!!
