New Home Gift Card Holder

Today's card is a gift card holder

My sister requested a 'new home' card for her grand daughter who was moving into her first apartment. It is not a card that I normally keep on hand, and at the time she asked for the card, I was not able to do a bunch of creating so I asked Debbie if she would be willing to create a card using the HUMBLE HOME stamp set and punch. I absolutely LOVE what she made!

Debbie made two varieties - one using the PERENNIAL LAVENDER DSP and one using some Strawberry Slush 6x6 DSP.

My sister chose the Strawberry Slush one except she didn't want it to be a gift card holder so I took all of Debbies measurements and created one without the pocket.

I was a little partial to the Perennial Lavender/Lost Lagoon one so I created some for my Tuesday Stampers. They were a big hit!! Thanks again, Debbie!

It's that time again...

We had our monthly meeting last week and we love to share with one another

Nancy shared some cards she made with the September kit. Everyone has remarked that this was a favorite over-all Paper Pumpkin Kit this year.

I just love it when my team members are willing to take charge of our Make & Take project at our monthly team meetings

Debbie O offered to prepare our Make & Take project at the August team meeting.

She always goes over and above when she prepares anything and this time is no exception

Debbie prepared these darling beach bag gift card holders, and used a variety of stamps

I chose to make mine with the little turtles

Debbie really has a "thing" for buttons and charms, and she even taught us how to put in these grommets.

Origami Gift Card Holder

Guest Stamper, Sue, from yesterday also showed us this cute gift card holder that she made origami style.

So I pulled out a variety of retired designer paper - cut them to size, handed them out, and then Sue showed us how to fold it.

Start with a piece of Designer Paper cut to 9-5/8 x 8-1/2

This is the print that I chose:

I turned it over, so this is my inside pattern
You can see I already have the folds in there, but I will walk you through the steps
1. Fold in half with the 9-5/8" at the top. If you have a directional pattern please pay attention to which way you want it to go before you cut it.
2. Now open this up and fold both sides to the center like this...
3. Fold the 4 corners in so that the side edges line up
4. Fold both sides up

5. Now tuck in one side to the other
6. A gift card (or cash) can fit in both sides, or add a sweet note.
7. Fold shut and tie a ribbon around to secure. Add a To/From tag or whatever decoration you may wish
