Happy Anniversary Sweetheart!

Monday, June 3, 2013
Today is our 36th Wedding Anniversary!! Wow! the time has really flown by and as I look back on our years together I couldn't be more happy than to be married to this giving, loving man.

This is the card that I made for him...
Last week Thursday was our son, Jeff's, birthday and we gathered as a family to celebrate both his birthday and Tyler's birthday who had his birthday on Friday.  Click HERE to see Tyler's card again.
This is the gift card holder that I made for Jeff...
The first photo you couldn't see the handle so here is a better look
Inside:
NO birthday is a birthday without a cake from Gramma so here is Tyler's cake... I went simple this year and Tyler loves Harry Potter.  I was able to find the cake topper and the rings for the cupcakes on Amazon prime.

Then I wanted to surprise Jeff with a little cake too.  I don't usually make a cake for the adults but I found this Red Wings decal and was able to make an edible image with my NEW Edible Image Printer.  Jeff is such a huge Red Wings fan that I just HAD to make a simple cake for him too.

Our family started something fun when we go out to dinner to celebrate birthdays or occasions.  We started last year just prior to Joey and Melissa's wedding when we took them out to Alpin Rose restauarant.  The end of August was Joey's birthday so we went to Bagger Dave's.  Can you see the theme yet? Well, we were up to the letter F so Jeff and Tyler chose to go to Famous Dave's. Here I am with all my kids! Can you say "One happy mama?"

Here is this weeks Sketch Challenge for the Red Hot Stampers...

And this is my take on it...

What was my inspiration for this card?

I had an extra type writer sitting on my table from making these
3x3 cards a couple weeks ago...

I love the First Edition Specialty Paper #121878 $12.95 for 24 sheets (12x12)
You can see that I used this paper on the Doily as well.
This cute card was inspired by Mercedes Weber
www.MercedesWeber.blogspot.com

It's not too late to snatch up this cute stamp set for yourself
You can find it in the Occasions Mini #125564 wood mount $17.95 or
#125650 clear mount $13.95 it is called You're My Type
The Occasions Mini is current through April 30, 2012

Play Day!

Thursday, March 22, 2012
Thursdays are fast becoming my favorite day of the week!
WHY??
Because that is the day that my gal pals come to play in my craft room with me!

Sometimes they bring their own projects with them to work on
and sometimes they just come to visit and are willing to work on any
of the many projects that I always have going.

Last week Rachel was the only one who could come
NO PROBLEM!
She brought baby Owen with her so I got a chance to snuggle with a newborn
and Rachel pitched right in to work on some cards that I pre-stamped.

FIRST I will show you the card I worked on while she was here.
(I'm not being selfish, you will understand tomorrow why I didn't show
Rachel's cards first.)

I am so thankful to have friends of all ages in my life.
This will be an especially fun card to send to my college gals.

MENU:
SS: You're My Type, A to Z Background
CS: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, First Edition DSP, Vellum
INK: Staz On Black, Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake
Accessories: Simply Scored Tool, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Small Heart Punch, Basic Rhinestones, X-acto Knife, Sponges
*Instead of using the Color Spritzing Tool, I mixed a portion of Silver Foil Smootch Spray with Rubbing Alcohol and just spritzed it.  It was much easier
*Inspired by: Doris Denman
*Thank you to Rachel for loaning me her Stamp Set.

Thanks For Stopping in Today and don't forget to check in tomorrow and you will see
the cards Rachel made while she was here and it will explain everything,
but for now...

Happy Thursday!!
