I have been playing with the DARLING DINOS quite a bit because I think that they are just so cute!
I decided to try out the Angled Front Panel Back Fold Card, but I wanted to try it with some retired paper in case I made a goof - (and I did!)
I pulled out some Designer Paper from my retired stash and ended up making this card for our granddaughter, Lily, for Valentine's Day
I had to do some masking with the wording in order to stagger the sentiment over the fold line.
I punched out a heart from the Designer Paper and then to create the Dino's arms to be in front of the heart I needed to stamp the image a second time, fussy cut the arms out and glue them to the front of the heart.
The "Happy Valentine's Day" is from Country Bouquet - a retired stamp set.
The diagonal pieces on the left hold the card shut.
I also added some of our new gold heart shaped sequins.
"Happy Valentine's Day" was heat embossed with gold onto 1/2" strips of Basic White.
I had some of the heart designer paper left over (the gold embossed stripes are the back side of the heart design) so I thought I would make a card for our other little granddaughter, Mercy.
I wasn't sure what layout I wanted so I browsed through the Mini Catalog and Stampin' Up! put in these handy layout designs for us
I chose to do the 4th pattern from the left on the bottom. But look how handy these are - what great tools for your card making.
I duplicated the colors for the Dino from my first card (Lemon Lime Twist and a little Crumb Cake for his nails), and I also duplicated how I had the Dino hold the heart.
Next up: Making Darling Dino cards for my three little grandsons for Valentine's Day.

Only three days left to subscribe to the January Paper Pumpkin Kit called HEARTS FOR YOU. We will meet the first Thursday night of February (6th) to put our kits together.
If you are a Paper Pumpkin subscriber you can also purchase the add-on die set SPRING IS IN THE AIR for only $12 and it will coordinate with the January, February & March Paper Pumpkin Kits
At our February Team Meeting we always have a share that everyone loves to share what they have been working on or what they used for a class
I can never remember ALL of who made which card, but I do remember that Janell made this first card because she made a treat box for everyone who attended and guess what she put inside? Cow Tails!! Clever right??!!
I'm pretty sure that Janell made the cards in the next 4 photos too.
And this next card I know that Janell made because she made this one special for me.
Anna made the cards in the next 4 photos
I'm pretty sure that Pam made these cute Scottie Dog cards
And this one as well is from Pam - she made it special for me. It's been a long time since I have used my owl punch, but how cute are these??!!
Inez is so good about putting down the instructions for her cards on the back side
We also had a team swap. Let's start with Debbie's card...
it is a stand up calendar card using the Day On The Farm Designer Paper that you can get for free during SAB. She used a scrubby crochet yarn for the grass and the sun, and since she used that scrubby yarn on her card she thought that she would make a scrubby for everyone as well. Debbie has a habit of going above and beyond.
Card #2 is from Lynda and she also used some FREE SAB designer paper - this paper has been a favorite and not surprising - it has totally "sold" out
Card #2 is from Pam (I think) using the FRAMED FLORETS stamp set and dies
Another beautiful card from Janell, she used the TWO TONE FLORA stamp set and the SENTIMENTAL PARK Dies (for the leaves/stem) and the Hexagons from BEAUTIFUL SHAPES dies and were embossed with the BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS Embossing Folder
Card #5 is from Carla. You may have already seen this on a previous blog post that featured the SILLY GOOSE stamp set. Carla used the Host Exclusive DSP from the SAB brochure. Such a cute thank you card
Card #6 was made by Inez. Inez used another of our FREE with a $50 purchase Designer Papers called FAVORED FLOWERS.
Card #7 is the one that I made using the TWO TONE FLORA and SOMETHING FANCY
I know that I am missing a few cards, not sure how that happened but when I get home from vacation, I will see what I miss and post those later.

Contrary to popular opinion - I DO NOT order everything that is in the catalog.
For example, the next three products in the January to April Mini Catalog, I did not purchase.
LOVE FOR YOU BUNDLE (item #160406)
SHARE A MILKSHAKE BUNDLE (item #160396)
LOVE CATS Stamp Set (item #160410) super cute stamp set
Each of these stamp sets/bundles are great and I have seen many cute cards using each of these stamps/bundles, but I just cannot get it all.
My friend, Janell, made this card for me using the LOVE CATS stamp set
The inside she used the "I love hanging out with you" stamp.Next up is the TWO TONE FLORA BUNDLE
It also comes as a suite called FANCY FLORA SUITE which includes a second stamp set SOMETHING FANCY
I love this suite!
This was the first card that I made with this set. This card was demonstrated at the November Stampin' Up! event by Gloria Kremer. I think that it is so elegant. Also used is the Framed Occasions Stamp Set for the greeting, and the Something Fancy Dies included in the bundle
This next card is one that we made at our January Card Club. I based the layout from Kate Morgan who used the flowers from Two Tone Flora (see this version in the next photo), but I adapted the layout to use the hearts from Country Bouquet, but I love the intricate die cut piece for the background.
We will be making this card at an upcoming Tuesday class.
This next card also uses the intricate detailed die cut piece that I attached to basic white. Stamp Set used is called HAND PENNED. This card was inspired by Andrea Sargent. She used the dies from Hand Penned for her card, but you need to cut several for one card and I thought "why cut several when you can cut only one"
I stamped the image with Basic Gray and filled in the flowers with Blushing Bride, Highland Heather, and Soft Seafoam. My "Happy Birthday" is from Best Family Ever, and I used the White Crinkle Seam Binding Ribbon and an Iridescent Pearl
This next card is an elegant wedding card that was inspired by one I saw on the demonstrator planning place facebook page by Dani Wrigglesworth.
I couldn't tell what ink color she used on her card, but after trying out a few colors I chose to use Cherry Cobbler. The sentiment comes from Peaceful Moments.
This last card is the card that I made for our February team meeting where we had a CARD SWAP using the January - April Mini Catalog.
Coming up with which card that I want to make for our swap can be challenging, but then I saw this layout. The original used the stitched square die from STYLISH SHAPES Dies, but I had a bunch of these stitched rectangles leftover from cutting out several card fronts from the PICTURE THIS DIE
What a great way to use up all of these leftover pieces.
Included in this suite is the FANCY FLORA 6x6 Designer Paper stack
I made a couple boxes using this paper (forgot to get a picture of one of them before I gifted it away). this box and the following cards was inspired by a demonstration at the November Stampin' Up! event by Dani Wrigglesworth
And this pretty card
The SOMETHING FANCY Stamp Set and coordinating dies work so perfectly with any of the stamp sets so I won't devote a whole blog post just for a words only stamp set, but I will tell you that I LOVE it and the dies are PERFECT. I love how they layer.
