Special order

Friday, December 26, 2014
Today I can share with you some things that I had to put a hold on because they were Christmas gift orders.  This cute purse was a tutorial by France Martin from a couple years ago and I brought it out when my friend from church wanted me to put something beautiful together for her mom for Christmas.  I also used a layout by Brenda Quintana for the cards.  I love the way the entire set fell together (and so did my friend).  Each card has a different color flower on it using the BLENDED BLOOM SINGLE STAMP and the fabulous BLENDABILITIES markers.
Just a HUGE heads up in case you haven't received your FREE copy of the New Occasions Catalog and the Sale a bration Catalog yet, there are 4 NEW pastel colors of BLENDABILITIES markers just perfect for Spring AND you can earn FREE BLENDABILITIES Markers in the current colors (except the skin tone and color lifter) when you place a qualifying order during Sale a bration (January through March).  Just a refresher on Sale a bration - For every $50 order you place during Sale a bration you get to choose one item from the Sale a bration catalog for FREE!  You heard that right! FREE!!  I would say that this year is the BEST offering of product I have seen yet!! and I am so excited to be able to share it with you.  Why not book a personal card making class in my home or yours to earn these FREE products plus so much more!!  Contact me at christiwaite@gmail.com to schedule a time that will work best for you.

Fussy Cut, that is...
I loved this layout by Karen and I wanted to give it a try with the FLOATING RE-INKERS Technique.  This was my first color combo: Strawberry Slush and Daffodil Delight.  I wasn't terribly fond of the center of the flower so I stamped a second flower center and colored it with Stampin' Write Marker in Daffodil Delight, fussy cut it out, and popped it up with a Dimensional.
My second color combo is Wisteria Wonder with Elegant Eggplant.  The flowers center was REALLY dark so this time I stamped and embossed two more flower centers and fussy cut them out and popped each layer up with a Stampin' Dimensional.
The flower stamp is from the very popular stamp set called Blended Bloom, and the Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Photopolymer stamp set called ENDLESS BIRTHDAY WISHES.  This is such a great set, so great that Stampin' Up! ran out of them very quickly.  We are told that they will get more in stock but are waiting on their distributors.  I will give you a heads up when the stamp set is available to purchase again because this set, of course, is great for your card making but it is also fabulous for your scrapbooking.

A Promise is a Promise

Wednesday, June 11, 2014
Last week I posted this BLENDED BLOOM (#135906 $11.95) that we made at our downline meeting.  I chose the Pumpkin Pie BLENDABILITIES because I wanted a challenge, and it really was a challenge.
Yesterday I decided I procrastinated long enough and I needed to work on my promise that I told you to check back to see what I would do with it.  Well, here you go...
I stamped the flower 3 more times, fussy cutting the layers and popping each layer up with a dimensional.  I also added some White gel pen lines which also helps it to "pop."
Now what to do with my Pumpkin Pie flower - I decided to combine it with the new BLACKBERRY BLISS card stock.  My cousin requested a card for a 60th birthday so I simply added the number 60 using the (retired) Typeset Dies. A little pearl in the center of the flower and three rhinestones on the "0" made it all come together.

New In-Colors

Friday, June 6, 2014
Last night Glenda's Down line meeting was combined with her New Catalog Open House.  She sure does a great job and there were a bunch of ladies there too.  Since my craft room is in such disarray I haven't been able to make anything up for my posts so I thought I would share with you the cute cards that we made last night highlighting the NEW In-Colors

Mossy Meadow

Blackberry Bliss

Hello Honey

Lost Lagoon

Tangelo Twist

The little circles were simply made using the Sponge Daubers.
The stamp set she used is called HELLO THERE #133922 (Clear mount $9) #133919 (wood mount $12)  A very affordable stamp set!!  You can find it on page 237 of the NEW catalog!  Don't have a new catalog?  Contact me please I would be happy to get one into your hands.

All the cards were packaged up like this

I just love the NEW In-Colors don't you? and the coordinating ribbon is fabulous!!

Speaking of ribbon - I will be doing a ribbon share again this year of all the new colors and styles so keep your eyes open and check back on my blog for all the details.

One more thing we did last night was play with the NEW Blendabilities Markers.  You have seen me make one of these flowers in the Coastal Cabana blue shade so I thought last night I would try the Pumpkin Pie trio of colors.  What am I going to do with this flower?  Well, I guess you will just have to check back on my blog next week to find out!!

Weekly Deals and a Sneak Peak

Wednesday, May 21, 2014
TODAY is Garage Sale Day!  So if you live in my area please stop on by to shop the retired stamps and accessories, plus Craft Sale items perfect for end-of-year teacher gifts, Graduation gifts, Father's Day gifts, etc. Looking forward to having you stop by!  Hours: 9am-3pm Wednesday and Thursday, May 21 and 22.

Here are the WEEKLY DEALS for May 20-26...Looks like it is time to stock up on ribbon!

I personally love the ribbon and love to add it to my cards and projects.  It lends dimension and just an added focal point.  Not all cards need ribbon, of course, but I sure am glad that I have it handy for when I do need it.

BLENDABILITIES!! - I am officially in LOVE with these NEW MARKERS!!  Each color comes in a 3 pack of light, medium and dark.  What I used on this pretty flower is Coastal Cabana and Daffodil Delight.  They will be available to purchase June 2nd when the NEW Catalog goes live!!  Start your wish list NOW!

I added some highlights using my Signo White Gel Pen.  I loved the way it made it "pop".  The NEW stamp I used is called BLENDED BLOOM and after using the BLENDABILITIES it makes the flower look as if it is 3 Dimensional.

You can be sure there will be a BLENDABILITIES class coming up!!

What else is coming up? I'm planning to do a RIBBON SHARE again this year with the NEW In-Colors and the NEW ribbons offered in the NEW Catalog.  More details to follow.

MORE? YOU BET!  However - I am holding off on my Open House until my craft room is complete so I might be having it closer to when the HOLIDAY CATALOG os released.  It is just too much to work around.
