Feels Like Frost Meets Dove of Hope

Sunday, November 29, 2020

It was pretty exciting as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator when they carried over the FEELS LIKE FROST Designer Paper

On this card I combined the Feels Like Frost Designer Paper with the gorgeous Dove from the DOVE OF HOPE BUNDLE and the words from FOR UNTO US Stamp Set

Have you made your Christmas Cards yet? What could be easier?

Card Stock: Night of Navy, Seaside Spray, Whisper White
Ink: Night of Navy
Such a super simple card that packs a WOW factor

Are you waiting for an update on our sweet Liam?
We have good news! Liam came home from the hospital NICU last week Monday at 3 weeks old.
We could NOT wait to meet him
I took my dad to see Liam and we had to get our 4 generation photo taken
One happy Grandma!
Proud Grandpa!

Weekly Challenge

Sunday, October 4, 2020

This past week's Weekly Challenge was inspired by a team member, Inez.

She made this Dutch Door technique for a previous challenge and suggested that we all give it a try

So I got to work on designing my own Dutch Door Card and this is what I came up with using the DOVE OF HOPE Bundle. I think that dove is absolutely gorgeous!!
Karen made this pretty card using the GOOD MORNING MAGNOLIA stamp set and the designer paper from last years annual catalog that coordinated with it.
Pam also used some retired designer paper and teamed it up with the LOYAL LEAVES Bundle - so pretty
Carla used the ORNATE GARDEN Designer Paper and the Thanks from GOOD MORNING MAGNOLIA
Vicki's card uses FLOWERS FOR EVERY SEASON Designer Paper
Lynda made a beautiful fall card using the LOVE OF LEAVES  stamp set.

As you can see, Stampin' Up! has such beautiful patterned papers, and it makes card making such a snap.
Aren't you glad that Stampin' Up! is having their once a year Designer Series Paper sale all month of October.
Please hop on over to my online store (click on the link below) to place your order and save 15% on the select papers that are on sale.

SWAPS Day #3

Friday, September 11, 2020
Our final day for sharing the team SWAPS with you.
Today's theme is "Christmas" ~ it is our largest number of cards chosen
Dawn's chose GNOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS to make this cute gift card holder.

Debbie O Designed this gorgeous card using the PEACEFUL NATIVITY Stamp Set
With an amazing pop-up theme. In fact the front square image is only held on by one Stampin' Dimensional so it is easily removed to use as an ornament - Very clever!

Sue chose to use the EVERGREEN Embossing Folder for he image. By inking up the folder and running it through the STAMPIN' CUT & EMBOSS MACHINE you get this very cool winter scene.
Chris used the WARM HUGS Stamp Set for her card and some HEARTWARMING HUGS Designer Paper
Janell made this super fun movement card using the COMING HOME Stamp Set and some TRIMMING THE TOWN Designer Paper
Marlane used ORNAMENTAL ENVELOPES Stamp Set for her beautiful Christmas card swap. Gorgeous!
I am sharing my card last, and I used the ARRANGE A WREATH Stamp Set and DOVE OF HOPE for the sentiment.
I used one of our previous weekly challenges to create my card.
I hope that you have enjoyed seeing all the cards that my team members have shared in our SWAP.

The New Embossing Tool is Here!

I have had my new Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine for 3 weeks now
and I absolutely love it!
This new tool offers multiple die-cutting and embossing options that I know you will love. This Stampin' Up!-exclusive machine offers the highest quality and makes precise cuts and detailed embossed images every time.
You will also love how simple it is to store and how easily portable it is. It will make a great addition to any craft room. One of the best things is that it comes with all the tools needed to get started right away, making it easy for you to have a fantastic die-cutting and embossing experience right from the start.
Here are some simple facts that Stampin' Up tell us about the new machine:
  • The firm top handle allows for easy transport and leverage while in use.
  • The machine includes a solid, full surface impact foldout platform to support solid and stable performance.
  • Its high grip feet minimize sliding on surfaces.
  • It has a compact footprint for easy storage and transport.
  • Its platform is designed to naturally guide products into the rollers for a smooth user experience.
  • The ergonomic handle flows well and balances the perfect amount of rotation and pressure for precise cutting and detailed embossing results.
  • You are going to LOVE how smoothly and easily it cuts! AMAZING! And with the new specially designed flatter dies, they cut through like butter!
You may remember that originally, the magnetic plate was not going to be available till later this year. However, it is available TODAY! so you can add it to your Starter Kit!
I know you are probably also waiting on the Mini Cut and Emboss Machine. But that won't be available until later this year.
I will keep you posted on the progress of that tool.

If you do not want to take advantage of this great deal, but still would like to purchase the new cutting machine, here is the list to my quick links to contact me or to shop with me: Just remember if your order goes over $150.00 please do not use the hostess code as you will receive the 10% hostess rewards for yourself.

Weekly Challenge Part 2

Tuesday, August 4, 2020
I think that my team was really challenged with last weeks challenge, but I did have some brave souls that gave it a try. Check out yesterday's post HERE
Rachel made a seaside theme on a couple of her cards and the perfect stand by of Bella & Friends and Free as a Bird. Her choice of Designer Paper is Woven Heirlooms (R)
Lynda only sent one card but we get the drift of the challenge. She just loves the Whale Done Designer Paper.
I am not getting nearly the amount of team members joining in on this weeks challenge, but I did get one from Karen who is very faithful to do the challenges each week
She said that she wasn't very fond of them when she started, but she did some tweaking and made it work, and I really like them - she did a great job!
Since I haven't had too many on my team join in on this weeks challenge I thought that I better give it another try to help inspire them
I decided instead of cutting my 6x6 pieces from Designer Paper, I would use Whisper White. Then I embossed each piece with a different embossing folder.
Card #1 I used the Evergreen Die, the brand new Evergreen Embossing Folder and some Designer Paper From the Forever Fern Suite.  I backed the Whisper White piece with some Soft Seafoam Card Stock. The sentiment comes from another brand new stamp set called DOVE OF HOPE.
Card #2 - my card base of Soft Suede is embossed with the Stone Embossing Folder from the Sale a bration brochure.and the Whisper White piece was embossed with the Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder. I backed it with another piece of Whisper White to give it dimension. I adorned my wall with 3 of the smaller sunflowers from CELEBRATE SUNFLOWERS.
Card #3 I embossed my Whisper White piece with the Parisian Flourish Embossing Folder, then grabbed some of my retired Parisian Designer Paper and my Eiffel Tower die.
Card #4 - Well - you are just going to have to wait to see that one because I like the way it turned out so much that I decided to use it for my team Swap cards in September.
I had some late submissions to this challenge and wanted to make sure that they were documented in my blog post.
These next 4 cards are from Pam

Inez also sent in her challenge cards a bit late, but I am just so thankful when they participate
Jodie also submitted her challenge a bit late, but better late than never, I say

TODAY the August to December Mini Catalog goes LIV
E!!
If you do not have a current Stampin' Up! Demonstrator I would be happy to see that you get a copy of this.
