Peek A Boo

Tuesday, April 5, 2011
How could you resist this sweet little face peeking out at you???

Caleb and Charlie love to play with the vertical blinds. I snapped these cute pictures of Caleb, but every time I tried to snag a picture of Charlie he would "pose" with a cheesy grin.

Charlie is the only one that comes every day so he is the only one that gets a chance to play with all the other kids. Here he is with little Eli. Not sure if he was wrestling or just giving Eli some lovin' but Eli definitely was lovin' the attention.

And here's a fun card - looks like the little grasshopper is playing "peek-a-boo"

Have a Blessed Day!!

Keeping it simple again

Thursday, August 12, 2010

I thought I would share with you all the cards that the other Red Hot Stampers made for our Keeping It Simple Challenge DSCF0031

Sue made this cute Bugs and Kisses card – I love all her bright color choices.

DSCF0024Glenda made her card while on her trip out to convention so had limited resources. I really love how she used the Circle Circus stamp set and the bright colors. She used the stampin’ spots that come in a new demonstrators starter kit to show you can get started right away.DSCF0025 This card by Lori uses the stamp set Always and a standard size wheel. She added ribbon – we teased her about breaking the rules.

DSCF0026Dawn made this cute baby card for a friend who is having a baby girl soon and already has a little boy. I just love the Family stamp set, you can do so many fun things with it.

DSCF0027Rachel has been going crazy using the new Aviary stamp set. She loves it because she has several birds at their house as pets. Once again the bright colors really set it off.

DSCF0028 I’m really impressed by one of our new gals, Sarah. She made her card using the Inspired by Nature stamp set, and then she thinks like me and “stepped it up”DSCF0029adding the Perfect Plum card stock behind it. She didn’t even stop there… DSCF0030 She made another “stepped up” version by adding butterflies from the stamp set Flight of the Butterfly…cute so very cute.

I hope you enjoyed seeing all these fun cards by all the fun gals in the Red Hot Stampers group

So For Now…

Happy Stamping!!!

Keeping It Simple

Wednesday, August 11, 2010

Here's another card for the “keep it simple” challenge that Glenda gave us at our last meeting. I actually saw the “stepped up” version on the Stampin’ Connection so I made both versions to show the difference again.

149

See, only one layer besides the base card. I figured a tear technique fell in the “simple” catagory.

Now the “stepped up” version…

148

On the example the gal (sorry I can't remember her name) actually used her sewing machine to add some stitching on top, but I chose to use some of our rub ons to create a faux stitch.

MENU:
SS: Bugs and Kisses
CS: Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive, WW, DSP Island Oasis
INK: Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive, Rose Red
Accessories: Wide Oval Punch, Rub ons, Dimensionals

So For Now…

Happy Stamping!!

Messy Charlie

Wednesday, June 16, 2010
It has been a while since I posted a Charlie inspired card. I took this photo when he was just six months old and it was my first day to be able to feed him some veggies. Now Charlie is 8 months old – oh, how the time flies! He LOVES, LOVES, LOVES his veggies. Actually he just plain LOVES to eat. When I am eating my lunch he wonders why he doesn’t get any and that is AFTER I have just fed him a bunch. It is so cute to see his little bird mouth open and hear him “UMMM” and smack his lips.

messy charlie As soon as I saw the orange carrots on his face I knew there was a color combo to be made. This is what I decided on…

DSCF0043 I was inspired by a card I saw on Stampin’ Connection by Rachel Yurkanin. You can see her version if you click on this site…
http://www.stampinconnection.com/photo/magnified-worm
I changed it up a bit with color and adding the clouds in the sky. It is also hard to see, but I couldn’t resist smooshing my worms with Versa Mark and heat embossing them with Iridescent Ice so that they look just like the sour neon gummy worm in the Sweet Treat Cup.

MENU:
SS: Inspired By Nature, Bugs and Kisses, Something Sweet
CS: Creamy Caramel (retiring), Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, WW (worms)
INK: Garden Green, Pumpkin Pie, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, Basic Black, Versa Mark
Markers: Brilliant Blue, Pixie Pink, Lovely Lilac, YoYo Yellow, Only Orange
Accessories: Sponges, Dimensionals, 1 3/4” Circle Punch, Scalloped Oval Punch, Iridescent Ice, Sweet Treat Cup.

So For Now…
Happy Stamping!!

Sweet Treat Cups

Tuesday, September 1, 2009
YEAH!!!!!!!!!! It's finally here!!!!!!!!!! The brand new HOLIDAY MINI, that is. I know I've said it before, but I love (almost) everything in it. My two favorites - at this time - are the BUILD A BEAR WORKSHOP items, pages34-37, and the SWEET CENTERS stamp set #116521 $29.95 along with the SWEET TREAT CUPS #116802 $2.95 for 12 treat cups. I worked last night as long as I could knowing I wouldn't be able to do all my fun crafting for a while and wanted to show you two cards that I made with the SWEET TREAT CUPS that used, not the SWEET CENTERS stamp set, but showing how you can incorporate the TREAT CUPS into any (almost any) card. Just want to give credit where credit is due - I found these two card ideas here at Gretchen Barron's site. I changed up the style of the grass because I just didn't like not being able to see their cute little shoes.
This next card uses another favorite stamp set called BUGS AND KISSES. I got my set when STAMPIN' UP! had their promotion last month, if you bought $35 worth of stamps from the GROWING UP section of our main catalog you got a FREE set buttons.
Anyway...

... I love this set, and was borrowing my friend, Sue's, set and finally had to get my own (te he).

*Right now is the perfect time to hold a workshop. From September 1 to November 30 if you host a workshop and it totals $250.00 or more, you may choose one item in the new HOLIDAY MINI for only $10.00. (Hostess sets and Digital Studio Excluded). Call or email me and we will set up a date for you in your house or mine. Your guests will make two cards and a gift card for a $3 fee. Fee is waived if an order is placed.
