Farewell Artistic Etchings
This was a special order card and I love how it turned out. I cased it from Vicky Wright. The technique is called FAUX PATINA. I didn't want to smoosh the flower on the front of the card so I made her an envelope that was wider, knowing that this was going to be a hand delivered card it worked out perfect for me to make a second flower and attach it to the envelope flap. Using the Simply Scored Tool with the Diagonal Plate, making an envelope is as easy as pie. (Actually easier, I don't like to make pies)
Thank you to my friend and fellow Red Hot Stamper, Sarah, who loaned me her ARTISTIC ETCHINGS stamp set. You have until June 3rd to purchase the retired stamps and accessories.

Okay, now on to my regular post
The time is getting closer each day to Joey and Melissa's wedding so I thought using a stamp set called A SENSE OF TIME for my post today was perfect. Here is a card that I made using this retired set that I borrowed from a fellow Red Hot Stamper, Belinda. This first one was a simple layout and a NAPR (No Additional Postage Required) card, and inspired by Katherine Fiander

Stamping on Tiles
You can see that one of them turned out much more muted than the other, but I kind of like the difference.
We also glued a piece of cork on the back to protect the surface it sits on.
These tiles are the basic tiles you find at your local home improvement store and are quite reasonably priced. Can't you just picture a set of four all tied up in a pretty bow?
MENU:
SS: Nature Walk (new in the Occasions Mini - available through April 30th.), EnFrancais Back ground stamp
INK: Brown Staz on, Marina Mist, Wild Wasabi, Soft Suede Marker, Night of Navy Marker
Accessories: A super strong glue - I used E600
How To: After Stamping, bake in 250 degree oven for 20 minutes, Cool. Once cooled, spray with a clear acrylic finishing spray. After that is completely dry, adhere cork to bottom. Now isn't that easy???
So For Now...
Happy Stamping!!

Workshop Cards
This is a card we made at one of Glenda’s STAMP A STACK classes and I kept it on my work table thinking that I would use this for a class some day. When I booked a workshop and she wanted to make three different cards vs. a One Sheet Wonder I thought this would be a perfect time to use this idea. One problem was that some of these In-Colors are discontinued so…
I switched it up to use some of our new colors
and ribbon. Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Concord Crush using the Itty Bitty Bits Stamp Set and the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack.
Card number 2 … a great guy card! I was disappointed when the motorcycle stamp didn’t cross over into the big catalog in July so TODAY is your last day to order this stamp if it is on your MUST HAVE list.
Embossing it on the Big Shot gives it a great textured look. The sentiment is also from a stamp set that can only be ordered today – called Watercolor Trio. Seriously I do not know why they didn’t carry these two over into the big catalog. Colors used on this card are Sahara Sand, Basic Black and Very Vanilla.
Card Number 3 is my personal favorite
I love butterflies because they are a great visual reminder of the new life we can have in Christ.
Colors used here are Soft Suede, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Marina Mist and Very Vanilla.
Don’t you just love the new Victoria lace down the front? This is a new item in the catalog that will stay current through June 2011!! I can imagine I will use a lot of this beautiful lace.
We used the “paper to stamp” technique and the color spritzing tool and sponges to create the great background look.
Once again I snagged these ideas from the Stampin' Connection. Thanks to all the great demonstrators that share their ideas with us!
If you would like to have a workshop we can make cards like these for you and your friends. What a fun way to spend an evening!! Call today or email and I will get you scheduled.
So For Now…
Happy Stamping!!
