Cards In The Mail To Me

I promised to let you know how my dr. appointment went yesterday... so here goes... We got to see the MRI images so could see the cracks as well as the rough edges created in the crash.

The Dr. gave me a crazy looking brace that I will have to wear until my next appointment on December 6. It is very cumbersome, but will hopefully give me extra support and help with pain management.

My mailbox has had a steady flow of cards - not tons, but a gentle, steady flow, of which I am very thankful!

My recovery from the accident is also a gentle, steady improvement. Sometimes I might feel like it will never improve, I look back, and see that ever so slowly, I have gained strength.

Yesterday, was back doctor appointment day

Now to share the cards that came in the mail the last week or so.

My hubby hangs these cards on my bedroom wall so I have something pretty to look at and be encouraged by it.

This darling little gift card holder is from Debbie. Debbie is also on my Stampin' Up! team and attends the monthly card club.

                               

She used an oldie, but goodie stamp set called LOADS OF LOVE.  So cute, and her generous gift is going toward the new pj shorts I had to buy as I lounge around all day! My legs get too twisty in long pant pjs when I'm laying in bed. Thank you, Debbie!!

Congratulations on your New House!

I was thrilled to receive two homemade CONGRATULATIONS cards due to our move. The first one is from my new stamping friend, Carla, who made this cute little house die cut using her
Cricut Machine. I just love it, and that she was so thoughtful.

The second is from my friend (and fellow Red Hot Stamper) Rachel. She knows how much I LOVE M and M's candy so when she saw this fancy key at our local hardware store she knew she just HAD to get it for me. Don't you love how she used it for a cool embellishment?!

Now she says we just need to go to the store and have it cut perfectly for our new locks.

Thank you Carla and Rachel!! I love the cards!!

What to do on a rainy day

Yesterday was a bit on the not-so-nice weather day.   Thankfully I was down in numbers for kids so activities stayed a bit more quiet.  So what do you do with a 6 year old girl who LOVES to do crafts but does everything so FAST that you can’t keep up with her?  I pulled out a retired Card Elements Kit and let her go at it.   

                                                                                



I “walked her through” the first three cards and then let her create to her hearts content.  Little sister helped and even did some stamping too.  Then I let them use my punches.  You know how much I love to create things with the punches!!  Well, I didn’t even have to give her any tips she came up with this little person all on her own.  I think I see a future Red Hot Stamper in the making!!


  
Charlie was his normal happy self and loved all the attention the big girls gave him.  How can you not LOVE this happy smile!!                                                          

And, of course, EVERYTHING goes in the mouth!!

I still haven’t posted the cards we made in our June STAMP 10 Class, so for all you who missed class this month – this is what we made…
