Hand Delivered - A Wedding Card

Another Wedding Card to share with you today.
This one was inspired by Jan B

This card also features the DELIGHTFULLY DETAILED LASER-CUT SPECIALTY PAPER
SO STUNNING!
The intricate designs are 2 sided with WHISPER WHITE on one side and VERY VANILLA on the other side.
I used my POWDER PINK CLASSIC INK PAD to color the laser design.  I tried sponging it, and using the SPONGE BRAYER, but using the ink-to-paper technique gave it the deeper color that I wanted.  Granted I needed to re-ink my Ink Pad when I was done, but that is why the re-inkers are available, right??!!
I tried to follow Jan's instructions, but I was baffled - I guess I am easily baffled because I really love all of Jan's works.
Here is what I did...
I protected my work surface with GRID PAPER (any scrap paper will work) then I colored the one side with POWDER PINK INK as I stated above, dried it just a tad with my HEAT TOOL, then I added MULTI PURPOSE ADHESIVE to the back side using a STAMPIN' SPONGE.
I attached this delicate sheet to a piece of VERY VANILLA 12 x 12 paper. Of course you are going to get a touch of adhesive on the front but don't fret, and don't rub! Just use your EMBOSSING BUDDY to take away the tackiness.
To cut this design can be tricky, but since I had it attached to the 12 x 12 VERY VANILLA Card Stock I could cut it from the back side. Be aware that there is a border on this SPECIALTY PAPER 

so I cut one side off first before I cut it to my desired size. I chose 3 13/16 x 5 1/16 - crazy size, I know, but it worked for me and your STAMPIN' TRIMMER is a very accurate tool to use for every 1/16th inch.
I also cut a piece of VELLUM Card Stock the same size and attached it only in the center which would be hidden behind the STITCHED SHAPES OVAL (largest size).
Now I attached this piece to another piece of VERY VANILLA measuring 4 x 5 1/4 and then attached that to my POWDER PINK Card Base. The VERY VANILLA MEDIUM SIZE ENVELOPES are perfect color coordination for mailing your card

I stamped the legs/skirt onto VERY VANILLA card stock and added the wedding cake on top of the skirt. Super easy to line up because of the Photopolymer totally see through stamp. As you can see in this image there is 3 layers to the wedding cake but mine only has 2 layers.  That is because only 2 layers fit in the largest STITCHED SHAPES oval framelit, so I hand cut them out using my PAPER SNIPS and attached them to the oval with the MULTIPURPOSE ADHESIVE. 

I colored in the gal with IVORY STAMPIN' BLENDS (hands and legs), SMOKY SLATE STAMPIN' WRITE MARKER (shoes & tray), POWDER PINK STAMPIN' WRITE MARKER (flowers) & LEMON LIME TWIST STAMPIN' WRITE MARKER (leaves). I added WINK OF STELLA to her dress and cake to give it some added shimmer.

The sentiment is from FLORAL PHRASES (as well as the inside sentiment)

Both Ovals were popped up on STAMPIN' DIMEN'SIONALS. A few BASIC JEWELS PEARLS added to the cake and small oval really set it off.

Floral Phrases for a Wedding

Dale and I have several weddings to attend again this year.  I guess love is in the air!!
This card will be one of the cards that the gals will make at the July Stamp a Stack Classes.
It was inspired by Sabrina

 

 I opted to skip the layer of SPARKLE GLIMMER PAPER under the DETAILED FLORAL THINLIT and only added it behind the square using the LAYERING SQUARE FRAMELITS
My colors are FLIRTY FLAMINGO and LEMON LIME TWIST. After inking up the flower I used a Q-tip to remove as much of the ink off the leaves that I could, then added Lemon Lime Twist using the Stampin' Write Marker.

In Color Sneak Peek

You are going to love the new In Colors!  This card is a sampling of each of those colors. The girls on my team that came to the May Team Meeting made this card for their Make & Take.

MANY times I am so sure that one particular color will be my favorite, but find out that I use more of a different color.  Right now my favorites are Lemon Lime Twist and Berry Burst.  The other In Colors on this card are Fresh Fig (card base), Powder Pink (largest medallion), and Tranquil Tide (bottom left medallion)

Guest Stamper, Donne

Scroll all the way through to the bottom and enjoy all these great cards, and at the end you will find another contest drawing.  You won't want to miss it!!
My guest stamper for today is my dear friend, Donne.  Donne is actually not in my downline but instead she is in my SIDE line.  This means we signed up to be a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator under the same person.  Since our direct upline has retired I invited Donne to come to the C3 (Christi's Creative Crew) Team meeting so she can help me when I need to bounce ideas off from her.  Donne is famous for lots and lots of great shares.  She is a fabulous demonstrator and we can all glean great ideas from her.
These are the cards that she shared...

 Thoughtful Branches was her focus.  Here she used it to make a Christmas Card

 I'm really loving this one, and she even brought me some Designer Paper FROM THE PLAYFUL PALETTE 6x6 paper stack.  so I can make some for the store!!  WOOT!! WOOT!!

 Another Christmas Card from THOUGHTFUL BRANCHES.  She combined it with the SOFTLY FALLING Embossing Folder and the CHRISTMAS GREETING THINLITS DIES.

This could be a Christmas Card as well, but I love how she also used the SWIRLY SCRIBBLES Thinlits for the snow.  I will be casing this one for sure!

She used the beautiful FLORAL BOUTIQUE Designer Paper for this card with the FLORAL PHRASES Stamp Set and the very cool Happy Birthday is a single stamp called STYLIZED BIRTHDAY

 Oh. my goodness,  her cards are so cute and I cannot wait to get out my new stash (which arrived yesterday!!) to make this darling bird card. The stamp set is BEST BIRDS and it can be bought in a bundle (saving you 10%) with the Framelits called BIRDS & BLOOMS.

Last, but not least, is this darling card using the flower stamp from the JAR OF LOVE Stamp Set that can also be bundled with the EVERYDAY JARS Framelits.  So simple and cute.
