Farewell Nature Walk and Perfectly Preserved

Sunday, May 26, 2013
I must say I was shocked when the Stamp Set PERFECTLY PRESERVED did not make it into the NEW Catalog. I love how there are framelits for all the stamps in that set, making it so easy to cut out with your Big Shot.  Oh well, there is a ton of great NEW stuff in the NEW Catalog that I can't wait to share with you.  The little bees are from the stamp set NATURE WALK. This card was inspired by Deborah Hedstrom-Page, sorry she does not have a blog to link you to, I found her example on the Stampin' Connection.  A perfect place for inspiration, and is for Stampin' Up! demonstrators only.  Want to become a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and a part of Christi's Crew?  Click HERE to get started.  There is a great deal going on until May 31st so don't delay sign up today!  For only $99 plus tax (no shipping on the Starter Kit!) you get to choose $155.00 worth of product!  What do you need to do after you purchase the kit?  ABSOLUTELY NOTHING if you don't want to.  There is no further obligation, but you might just get hooked on the discount you receive and stick with it like I did!!

Snowman In A Jug

Saturday, February 16, 2013
Last week our grand kids had their mid winter break from school (never mind the three or four snow days they just had prior to this) so they got to spend those days with Gramma and Grampa.  We sectioned out our time so that they didn't spend the entire day in front of a screen of some sort.  After lunch they were excited to go outside to play in the snow.  It was a beautiful day out and the snow was perfect for packing.  The kids brought along their "Snowman in a jug" with all the parts to adorn their snowman, and away they went.
Well, the snowman didn't make it to full height and Gracie didn't last as long as Tyler did, but it was good for them to be out in the fresh air.
So this got me to thinking about a "snowman in a jug", so using the stamp sets PERFECTLY PRESERVED and STYLIN' SNOWFOLK I went to work to create this card...
All the pieces are in the jar ready to create the perfect snowman
I did cheat a little by using the jar lid stamp from an old retired set call ALL WRAPPED UP.  the snowman and all his accessories are from the stamp set STYLIN' SNOWFOLK.

Guest Stamper - Linda L

Wednesday, January 23, 2013
This card was designed by Linda L, my newest recruit!  I love the creativity she has with the hearts.  Guess what stamp set she used...PERFECTLY PRESERVED!! Who would have guessed it!! She stamped the apple and then punched the hearts from that image!  Creative!  I am very happy to have Linda on my team!

Our Red Hot Sketch Challenge for this week...

I can't believe how incredibly tired I have been since the craft sale last Saturday
so when I realized I never prepared a card for todays Sketch Challenge ahead
of time I knew I had to go quick and easy...SO...
I dug in to my box of "lucky leftovers".  I had one little canning jar
left over from the treat holders I made for the craft sale and...
a bag full of buttons that I had cut out with the Button sizzlit so I
created the color of my card around the color of the buttons that I had on hand.
As you can see I flipped the design, then sewed a couple of the biggest
buttons on squares of Natural Twill Tape after fringing the edges.
Super simple card perfect for a last minute creation.

Now Click HERE to see what the other gals did with this Sketch Challenge

Have a Blessed Day!!
