Designer Papers can make quick & easy cards so I will share some of these cards that we made at one of the Tuesday classes. We have a whole new supply of designer papers in the annual catalog and in the July to December Mini Catalog that you can use these layouts to feature any of the new papers with)

ON THE HORIZON 6X6 was the biggest hit and I, personally, was shocked when it didn't carry over from the January to June Mini Catalog. I am so glad that I purchased several packs of this paper.

SIMPLY ELEGANT 12x12 is just that...Simply Elegant with the copper, silver and gold foils.

I made this one just like Michelle's, but I made others with a Happy Anniversary sentiment from ELEGANTLY SAID stamp set (retired)

This last one features the SYMBOLS OF FORTUNE 12x12 designer paper (retiring) and the AMAZING THANKS DIES (item #157816) - super happy that the little Brushed Brass Adhesive Backed

Gold Butterflies (item #158136) carried over to the new annual catalog. At the Tuesday class I featured two different designs, equally beautiful.

Tomorrow begins round two of Sale a bration for 2022!

So for today I will share a card that I made for a Tuesday class using a Sale a bration stamp set from Round One, which was in January-February

This card was inspired by: Melissa Davies

This is a list of products used:

Stamps: Driving By

Ink: Memento Black, Whisper White, Versa Mark

Paper: Basic White, Crushed Curry, Smoky Slate, Basic Black, Pattern Party DSP, Layering Designs Vellum

Accessories: Give it a Whirl dies (item #154336), White Embossing Powder (item #155554), Heat Tool (item #129053)

Stampin' Blends: Poppy Parade, Smoky Slate, Basic Black, Pool Party

Super cute, and I'm so glad that the Layering Designs Vellum (item #157764) has carried over to the annual catalog as well as the Give it a Whirl Dies (item #154336)

What I did was to add all of the pieces to the designer vellum before adhering it to the card base. This way I knew where to add the glue to the back so it wouldn't be seen.

Hand Penned Hexagons

Another card from one of my Tuesday classes that sold out by 1:00 is this pretty hexagon design using HAND PENNED stamp set.

This card was inspired by Gail Ellis

Stamp Set: Hand Penned (item #155070)

Dies: Beautiful Shapes (item #158046), Penned Flowers (item #155557)

Designer Paper: Perfectly Penned (retired)

Card Stock: Basic White, Misty Moonlight (retired)

TIP: When I am cutting intricate designs like on this card I like to use the THICK Basic White - I find it holds up better.

TIP: Attach ADHESIVE SHEETS (item #152334) to the Thick Basic White before cutting out so that the die cut will stick to your card without needing glue.

Hello Ladybug

Today's card was inspired by Mary Brown. But when you add layers and dimensions, I guess I can call it my own.

We will be making this card at an upcoming Tuesday class.

I used the brand new TWIGS & SPRIGS 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER (item #159168) for my 3-3/4" x 5" layer

I had the zig zag pieces laying on my crafting table (from the BASIC BORDERS DIES item #155558) as well as the black and white print stitched circles from two previous projects, and I wanted to clear off my table before I left on vacation. I'm so glad I worked ahead because coming home there is so much to catch up on, of course now I want to play with new products. *sigh*

I used a 1/2" and a 5/8" circle punch(es) for the center of the large daisy.

The iridescent sequins were left over from a Paper Pumpkin Kit from way back (who knows when)

Make & Take Project

Janell did our Make & Take for the June team meeting.

She loved this technique so wanted to teach it to all of us

A belly band card that is so elegant.

But check this out:

She realized that this would take way too much time so she decided to use up some of her retired 12x12 designer paper and made one for everyone at the meeting.

Then at the meeting she gave everyone another 12x12 to make their own pattern to use

She cased this from the Creativity Cave in case you want to give it a try.

Last Two Swap Cards

The last of our swap cards are from Joyce and Chris

Joyce used the new PERFECTLY PENCILED black & white Designer Paper (item #159244)

She set it off with some dark red (non Stampin' Up!) flowers, making this a simple, but elegant card

Chris used the darling HAPPIER THAN HAPPY BUNDLE (item #158952) and the coordinating HAPPY FOREST FRIENDS 12X12 Designer Paper (item #158941). How cute is that little bear??

Our two swap cards today are from Jodie and Pam

Both Jodie and Pam used the TEA BOUTIQUE CARDS & ENVELOPES (item #159270)

Jodie made this first card and she wanted to institute the 5 new in-colors on her card using the 6x6 In-Color Designer Paper (item #159253) she also used the RECTANGULAR POSTAGE STAMP PUNCH (item #152709) These colors are so bright and cheery, they are one of my favorite in-color groupings.

Pam chose to focus on the STARRY SKY color and used the TEA BOUTIQUE BUNDLE (item #158667)

Super, super cute!! And those envelopes!! Got to love them!!

On the vacation front: yesterday we went to see the ARK ENCOUNTER with our friends, Dave & Peggy

What fun to do this with our friends and what an amazing place to visit. I know that we did not take it ALL in but we were pretty spent and felt it was ok to end when we did.

The truth of the gospel is laid right out in Genesis and to see this visually reaffirms our trust in the God who created everything.

We started out by going to the Ararat Ridge Zoo, thinking that it would be best to see the animals when it as still semi-cool. You can imagine my delight when we saw this African Sapota Turtle. You can see how big he is (his name is Munch). He was just walking alongside his handler, just taking a stroll around the area and then back to his habitat there at the zoo.
